Sorry, ginashopper. I'm assuming you signed up for the trial membership and didn't cancel timely enough. Then, your credit card was charged for a full membership. That's a lot of money and at this point, I don't imagine there's a whit of a chance of getting it back. Use the search feature on this forum and read other shoppers' opinions of Shadow Shopper. Maybe you can turn this lemon into lemonade and hopefully make your money back and then some!
You might try contacting your credit card company. Sometimes they will reverse the charges. Worth a try.
I had a friend that had $$ and I used to login to see what was in my area and WOW. I got a lot of work thru $$. You may as well use it now that they charged you for it. Please check out BBB >> Better Business Bureau
Use the search all dates here and youm will find a varying amount of data.

I used it when I first started and got a lot of jobs including some high paying ones that more than covered the fee. I'd signed up with so many that I dropped the membership after the first year. But I got my money's worth
But of course the point is that they provide a free trial month that would allow you to sign up with companies and then get out with no fee at all (as long as you cancel in plenty of time). For beginning shoppers it is probably best if they try a few shops with companies that are almost guaranteed to have some shops in their area, such as Bare, Market Force blue portal, Corporate Research, Maritz before they spend the time signing up everywhere. They then can go to the free Jobslinger.com site for more companies in their area and can then go to the lists such as here, at Volition.com or the MSPA website to fill out their portfolio. All of these resources are free. Shoppers do not need to pay for lists at all!
i got socked with that fee too... my mistake... so i ate it and it hasn't been great but they do send a lot of demonstrating jobs which are hard to find on the normal ss search sites...
