MarketForce Question

Does MarketForce disable your ability to see/self-assign shops when you cancel an audit. And if so, how do you get the privilege back, if ever?

Thanks,
Lisa

My guess is that it depends on how much work you have done for them and how often you have cancelled in the past. I would expect that if you cancel an audit you wouldn't see other audits at least that exist this round. If I had done a large number of shops for them and suddenly couldn't see any shops after a cancellation I probably would innocently ask their Help desk if the system was having problems because suddenly I couldn't see any shops and see what transpired.
I had to cancel a shop once. They did not really give me any grief over it. I have never seen that one again but I see others and am able to still shop. Are you able to re-schedule it? I think as long as canceling does not become a regular occurrence, they give you another chance, they did for me.

Forgive my grammar and spelling on the boards. I am off duty.
My priliveges have been re-instated. WooHoo! I'm going to try not to cancel again but my car's compressor went out and the belt broke. I explained all this to MarketForce and they said "thank you" for letting us know and re-instated me. I believe my priliveges were taken away because I cancelled on the last day due. Whenever I have cancelled days before my priliveges were left intact. Well, I've learned my lesson and I will try my best not to cancel anymore.

And out of companies that might ever take away my ability to work for them, they are way at the bottom of the list in terms of me caring about them doing so. I do 2-4 fillers a month, and they are so cheap, that if they boot me, they boot me. I am okay with them doing so and I really do not care if they do or not.

Yeah they are cheap but I can look forward to $100 to $150 on the 10th of every month. And that comes in handy from time to time. Especially for a minimal amount of work winking smiley
Now it looks like they already lost that major three letter vitamin chain who went back to their original msc after MF could not fill the shops.
I was referring to the blue, but both portals are cheap, and I feel the same way about either, except I do even less work for the purple. A few assignments a year.

Actually, I've done 2 of the 3 letter vitamin chain audits this month. There's an abundance of assignments in my area for the blue and purple. However, I have never done and will never do the purple. They are ridiculous with the pay and the amount of work expected.

B4 you count the purple portal out, look for them to offer you TRAILER CHECKS for the upcoming movie. Trailer checks are better than the other movies shops but it is a way to see a novies on MF/CRI dime. and get paid, Most Trailer checks are audience reactions anyway. Plus the Purple pays you faster than the Blue.
OMG! The lighters. They haven't figured it out yet? I would send them a certified letter stating that you will be returning them to the places you got them if they do not find a way to remove them from your home by such and such date.

I'm not sure why I haven't tossed them yet, I think I am just waiting it out to the finish to see what happens haha.

The last time I called and a rep said she would call me back "tomorrow" with answers of what to do with them was over a month ago. Tomorrow really never comes with that company.

I've had one rep say just to throw them out and another rep say it is illegal to throw them out since they are not mine.

I am thinking I will hang on to them a few more months and give them out as Christmas gifts. (Joking since I still do not know what made them be recalled in the first place).

I feel your pain.

I go to the site, do the drop down box and click on Trailer checks. Look for the closer theatres to me, look for the words "ANY SHOWTIME " and sign up. All the other subjects in the drop down box will get LOOKED at but that is it. If something has to be mailed to me, that's a no-no. I do not want to xchange something that has to be shipped back.

Why don't you send the lighters to the Certified's parent company and omit your return address?
The issue, sojo917, is that the lighters were to be shipped back to them in the first place but private individuals cannot ship flammable fluids legally by mail or the delivery services. Thus the pickups from a merchandising assignment were rejected from shipment by the carrier and the purple portal's only suggestion, if I recall correctly, was to individually drain out and dispose of the fluid, then ship, yet they were unwilling to pay for such a service.

Yep, if I just send them back, I will be footing the bill which I am sure will not be reimbursed. As it is, I was not paid for the project in the first place so I received no sort of payment for traveling to the location, counting the box with the employee, and then the time it took to attempt to empty the lighters.
I honestly don't see how Market Force or Certified stay in business.

They screw their Shoppers every way possible and then can't find people to fill the jobs resulting in lost accounts.

They were one company who got a sweet little Notice of Lawsuit from me (see my other post) and suddenly paid me in 24-hours what they "lost" from the 3-months prior.

Pure scum.
Eurotrader, you have posted 7 times, and all 7 were bitter and negative posts. Do you work for any companies you like? Have you considered trying new ones, or getting out of the field altogher? Shopping isn't for everyone, and the majority of shoppers do not dis every company they mention here.

First of all, four out of my seven posts were all about the same company. If you bothered to read carefully before criticizing you would have seen that.

And we're not allowed critical postings on your Board? I assume it is your Board?

If it's your business, I have two great Property Management firms I check for, another one that does grocery stores who has wonderful schedulers, one that handles nice restaurants who has done everything they promised, and another that is purely professional in everything they do.

I make a nice living Day Trading but that can be a lonely profession, so I took-up mystery shopping for something different and to get out regularly while getting paid for my gas. I did not get involved to work with petty people who try to cheat me every chance they get.

Regardless of your "critique," I will still say Market Force and Certified (who MF bought) is a bunch of scammers and should be avoided like the plague.

A few days ago the "new shops" portion on the menu dissappeared from my page. I have quite a number of shops to still perform, so i am thinking they don't want me to book any new ones until I finish the ones I have. But I am not sure if the option will be reinstated at some time. I asked the help desk, but so far received no reply.
My "new shops" disappeared when I cancelled an audit on the day it was due. I explained to MF that my car's belt broke and this was my reason for cancellation. I was reinstated. In fact I started this thread with the "reinstatement question". Eurotrade, smiling smiley dee shops, you can also be quite negative at time sad smiley

This is my opinion, and mine alone. I do not trust any opinion here until they have posted more than negative diatribes. YMMV.

You can go ahead and find another outlet for your miserable melodramas. I'm not interested -- at all -- in anything you have to say. And even less in your unhappy opinions.

Wow, its time to chill.
Stop now! This is not the place for tossing anger and frustration.

Going back:
I emailrd the MSC and they said they removed me because of several time overlaps in the past. This only happened twice in many months and it was due to a typo. The last time was about four months ago. Anyway they told me in the same email that if I am good and promise never to do it again, they will reinstated.
So I did.

You will probably receive no reply or a reply that makes no sense. When you have an issue with them their response is to cut you, regardless of the past service you have given them. If you go to the president of the corporation instead of dealing with the "help desk", your request may reach the proper level. The "help desk" is usually anything but Help! My suggestion is, "wait and see".
Overall I have found the 'help desk' reasonably adequate as a first line of contact. I assume they have a very limited scope of what they can deal with, so have contacted them primarily when I need to be bumped up to a decision maker or when there is something odd--such as going to upload my CPI and proof of visit only to find that something is entered and verified there already.

Since I systematically upload stuff when I finish a report and reach the upload prompt, I know with a high degree of certainty that I have not already uploaded anything. Help desk is good for such 'investigations' and clearing out whatever has already been 'verified' for my shop that I am only now entering. Which has to make you wonder about the 'verified' stuff!

Help desk has also been good about some generic questions, though their responses to why I cannot see a shop 4 miles from me unless I search a radius of about 150 miles have given me some major guffaws when I'm sure they had no intention of being funny.

Mostly questions beyond the limited scope of the help desk have been responded to by a 'shopper advocate' in a reasonable period of time. But in general my approach with most any company is to have as little contact as necessary to get the job done.
