They haven't had anything this year, except in Folsom (wherever that is).

I wonder if it is Folsom, California, northeast of Sacramento? That's where Folsom Prison is, you know the famous Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues"......... I think there's also a Folsom in Georgia.... ??
It appears a lot of companies are not offering assignments or are unaware that the price of gas is going up. The compensation for the shops, even if you can find five or 6 in the same direction, does not cover the expense time, and effort to accept the shops. Unless you are going in that direction it is not a joy ride, There is no Joy when it costs you more than you make. Glad I am a mystery shopper and independent contractor. I can pick and choose. I choose not to lose.

ShopNflop, a number of companies are performing the same shops today that they were performing 7+ years ago when gas prices hit an outrageously high $1.72 per gallon. The fees are the same (or less) and the reimbursements are the same. Total inflation in that same time period was 18.99%, so even where fees stayed the same we are earning a whole lot less in buying power.

We have MANY more shops than just the Folsom auto dealership shop (which is near Sacramento, CA), by the way!). :-)
