maritz

I was signing on to Maritz as a mystery shopper. They want your Photo ID. What is the reason for this? Is this worthwhile?

What kinds of shops does Maritz do? Anything in the Massachusetts area?

What are you experiences with them?

Excellent company. They pay ontime and have shops all over...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I do a bunch of gas station (image audits) for them.I have been doing work for
them for over 3 years.I wish they paid more for some of their jobs, but they
are a very honest company and they pay on the 1st & 15th of the month.
They also have bank shops and other type shops(depending where you live).
They require a copy of your drivers license and a copy of your car insurance (if you have a car).
I do a lot of work for this company. They have never asked me for a Photo ID. I guess they figure that they would all have a stroke if they got one from me:-)
The photo ID and proof of insurance came along in 2011.

FYI I see that Maritz again has the no-reveal gas shops at the same lame $12/each. This represents about 1-1/4 gallons of gas. You'd think that a major gas company might be make a bit of a profit now days and could share a bit more with shoppers.

Not this time Maritz.
"Bank 5 and 10 minute shops"
"For the 5 minute shops, you must complete the phone call and the visit to the bank "

Wish they would stop with the five minutes shops. Try getting all the info they want in five minutes AND a phone call.
Run in and grab and go! Yeah right!

I've never had a five minute bank shop with them take under 20. I don't know if the branches in my area just have a low banker to customer ratio, but it takes FOREVER just to get in with a banker. Then once you are there the bankers do not want to let you go without opening the account today. I've stopped doing those because it was getting hard to not just get up and walk out as they were speaking.
Don't know why they call them 5 minute shops. With the new guidelines of having to make a phone call the 5 minute shops take longer than the 10 minute shops. The only reason that I do them is they are so easy.
Does this also mean that you then have to go in and meet with the same person who you spoke with on the phone?
No. you have to request that they mail you some info and then go into the branch and ask for the same info. It does not matter who you meet when you go into the branch.
I love this company. I have never had an issue with them. When work is plentiful (usually the beginning of a quarter), it is great. The other thing I like is that they will pay to your business. I set up a corp with EIN and they send the check to my business. The tax rate for corp is much lower than for individuals.
After signing up Maritz called me and said they have several jobs in my area. She emailed me some information. I called them with a question and was told to hold and she put the phone down on the desk and talked to someone for several minutes. This was someone different. She told me someone would call me back, but they didn't. The next day I get a nasty email saying "per my request" I would no longer work for them. I sent the two emails trying to find out what happened but never heard back. This was the worse company that ever treated me like this in 17 years of shopping. I don't know what happened.
