Nit-pickers, pay on time, enough shoppers request them that they mostly can pick and choose among requests. Personally not impressed.
I've done low and high end shops for them. So far, I have only had one 'issue' with them. Long story, not worth telling. It certainly wouldn't keep me from recommending them or shopping with them. Their restaurant shops pay a fee and reimbursement. Payment is 4 to 5 weeks following the shop. No payment issues from me. I find them pleasant to work with and have no complaints.
The following is what I recall and it may be inaccurate.

Speedmark purchased S&G, each were then acquired by Shop 'n' Check and finally became part of the MFI conglomeration. The principals of Speedmark then broke with MFI and formed Customer Impact. I checked and my last job for them was in 2007, when they were using the Speedmark name.

I partially agree with Flash as to the nit picking. The grocery shops weren't any problem and they were willing to bonus if needed, BUT, their dining shops were a PIMA. It became soooo bad, it was one of the factors that drove me from fine dining shops and I haven't nor will I re-enter that phase of the business. They currently have a job in my area that pays a $15 fee, with a total of $200+ for dinner; I can imagine it also requires one write a report the size of which would bring a blush to the cheeks of Alexandre Dumas.
I did one job last year with no problems.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
Yes, mine was an upscale casual dining that they picked to pieces, changed and then complained I hadn't answered all 'no' questions. Golly, when you change my 'yes' to a 'no' I didn't get much chance to answer that as a 'no'. Of course my 'yes' was changed to a 'no' based on the narrative, so if it was answered enough to change 'yes' to 'no' then one would think I had answered it. Life is too short.
I have completed the mattress store shops for them and paid 23 and 34 days later. No issues with the report.
They're not the quickest payers, nor the highest, but I like them. I've found them to be impressively communicative and helpful, actually.
I personally like them and do a couple restaurants and a western shop, although they have a scheduling company for that, and have lowered the fee from 20.00 to 8.00 + 12.00 reimbursement for something you definitely can't use....I've written about this. I do like them except for this shop, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Live consciously....
I've never had a problem with them, always get my car washes through them and did a really great one for a chain restaurant that was fantastic. No issues at all with them and when I asked to be scheduled for that restaurant as I was taking my mom away for a girls weekend and wanted to take her as my guest to it, the scheduler took care of it right away for me, added an additional bar visit to it as well as we were staying over.
They did that for me (above) when I went to New York a couple years ago. They had my favorite restaurant at JFK and made all kinds of arrangements time wise for me, they were the best.

Live consciously....
I just finished my first shop for them, and they have been wonderful to work with! The report took a while, but my scheduler and editor were great to work with, and I can't wait to do another shop for them in the future.
I'm hoping to get that shop again when my husband and I go to the Casino in September.
I have found the Russell Speeders car wash shops not worth the costs. They pay the shopper $6.00 and the car wash you get reimbursed for varies but with gas and other costs at an all time high I will not accept anything under $15.00 unless it is practically in my back yard.
The fees for mystery shopping need to be raised to keep up with the costs.
Overed, you have named a client in the thread discussing a company. If that client is shopped by that company, you will want to remove the client name (just change it to 'the car wash shops') because it is a violation of your ICA to disclose who shops whom. Thanks!
I think that the car wash payment is fair; I do it as a fill in on a route and with me always out working and when I'm not, I have 2 kids in my car, my car gets dirty - QUICK and its always so nice after having it done to get into a nice clean car. Plus I've never had an issue at those car washes.

CRI has a car wash/oil change place however that everyone I have gone to there has been some kind of issue with from losing my dipstick during an oil change to charging for a car wash that I was not given and then lying about it when I called them out for it in my report.
