MSPA Intro Certification verification

Hi all,

I just entered the world of mystery shopping about two weeks ago and have just completed my first two shops this past week. This forum has been incredibly helpful in providing newbie guidance.

And now for my question... I completed the MSPA Intro to Shopping (formerly Silver) certification last Saturday. I believe my score was 96%. I was then able to access my certification code. However, when I enter that into Sassie sites for verification, it cannot be verified and responds with an error:
ERROR ! Certification for the email address '<myemailaddress>' using the code '######' was unsuccessful!

When I look at my certification section on MSPA, the status and the certification date range for Intro to Mystery Shopping is blank, but I can still click and access the code. I did not receive any confirmation email after completing the certification, but as I said, the code is now accessible and wasn't prior to taking the test.

I emailed the MSPA five days ago to ask about the issue, but have not heard back.

Has anyone else had success in taking the Intro certification and having it verified via the Sassie platform? Or is there a processing time that is longer than a week? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Kim

Are you using a different e-mail address with the companies you are registering with than the e-mail address you used for the MSPA? If so, that will cause an error.
Thanks for the quick response. I am using the same email address for all of the sites and MSPA. Is the MSPA certification usually verifiable immediately? And for others who have the certification, is a status and date range visible when you look at your certification in your profile?

I'm trying to narrow down the issue between a normal (expected) processing time for certifications to become active vs a problem with the certification vs a problem with the verification.

Thanks.

Kim
AustinMom, you were correct! I'm glad your post encouraged me to triple check. The email address on MSPA had the first letter capitalized, while it is all lowercase on the shopping sites. Case really shouldn't matter in an email address comparison, but in this case, it did. Problem solved!

Thanks again!
