Payday today?

Hi! I'm supposed to get paid today from ISS. Nothing is coming up yet. How long do payments take to show up in paypal?

Payments can show up in Paypal in seconds. It has been a long time since I worked with ISS so I don't remember where in the progression they decide a job is 'paid'. "Paid" may be the time that the notice is sent to accounting that the shop is okay to pay, it may be when accounting puts together the roster of what is to be paid, it may be when it is sent to the person who does the final authorization of payment of the lot of shops, it may be when the check is cut or Paypal is notified. Since there haven't been a bunch of complaints about ISS making payments, I would be patient for a while.
If ISS is ISecretShop, they do not pay you. The individual MSCs issue payments based on their terms. The participating companies do have different payment schedules.

Some of the companies ISS work with require W9s I did a relatively small shop around Christmas time. I forgot about it until I scrolled thru and it said it wasnt paid. I contacted the scheduler (the company) and come to find out I never filled out a W9. For $9? But ok...they paid me the following cycle, and it says the name of the company not ISS.

I do quite a bit through iSS. Every company has a different pay schedule. What I would do is look at the independent contractor agreement for the particular MSP for which you did the shop (it's easily found on the iSS site). Then, look at the job in your history - the date you performed the shop will be clearly listed. You can then compare the date with the the agreement and confirm that a payment is missing. You can then contact the MSP directly - contact information is provided.

I've done a lot of shops through iSS and, so far, every payment has been right on time. Some pay on day 45 after the shop is approved. Some pay on day 60. Some pay on the 15th of the month, others on the 20th or 30th. I keep a spread sheet list of all my shops and one of the columns is "expected pay date," which I fill in when I submit a shop.
