Reimbursement

Im new and im just wondering how the reimbursement thing works. I have seen other peoples post and it sounds like they reimburse the whole fee? Like they say the reimbursement was enough for 2 people, But when i did sonic, it had specific instructions that only the 3 items be on the reçeipt?

Normally they tell you what to order, and will only reimburse for those items and nothing else. Because the cost of those items will vary from city to city, they state the cost in the most expensive city as the maximum reimbursement.. If they cost less in your city, you will get reimbursed that lesser amount, and not the maximum amount.
Usually they will tell you how much they reimburse you up to. When I do Sonic, they reimburse up to $11. Depending on what I order, sometimes I go over a little bit and sometimes I'm under and I get my whole purchase reimbursed.

It varies a lot.

Each shop has it's own terms so you have to read carefully every time you do a new one. If you do the same one enough times, maybe you only skim to check there aren't changes.

Sonic is written as a one person activity. You can have other people with you but they don't get to order with you. That's pretty awkward unless you really only want the burger and someone else will be satisfied with loaded tots and a drink.

Some restaurant shops require a guest and dictate what you order to some degree. Maybe the reimbursement is ample to cover you both and gives some flexibility to your choices. Some require a guest and let you order whatever and they don't pay enough to cover even the cheapest meals. Some allow you to bring kids, others don't. Some don't require a guest but prefer one and there may be two different reimbursement amounts depending on whether you have a guest.

FAR too many different scenarios to generalize about what is "normal".
Keep in mind that payments are subject to taxes but reimbursement is not. When companies send me monies I have two columns--payment and reimbursement.
