Scam or not?

I responded to an ad on Craiglist.com and was replied to for a Mystery Shopping position. I am skeptical, as this "company" says that I've been selected and my first job is to evaluate my bank and a Western Union. They say that they will send me a check for 3,225 of which I am deposit into my bank account, deduct $325 for my pay and use the rest of the money to complete the task at Western Union. I'm skeptical because I can't understand why this "company" would trust me, a total stranger with $3,225 in the first place. Is this a scam? If it is, how do I report them?

peace

Absolutely, positively scam. dcrector is with North West Loss Prevention, a mystery shopping company. He is trying to collect these things in an attempt to get something done about them based on the volume of them out there. Read [www.mysteryshopforum.com] and he has set up a separate email at doug98059@yahoo.com to deal with them. We have been turning these things over to local law enforcement or the Post Office (if they came in the mail) for a long time and nothing has happened.
Thank you so much! I will most definitely report this. Times are so hard, and it's a shame that there are people out there who would take advantage of the state of things for their own gain. peace
