Juanita, if they are wanting to send money before you do any work, it's a scam. They will send a fake check that looks so real even your bank won't know until 5-7 days after you have deposited it. The scammers will want you to wire them money and then you will find out ii was a fake, but it will be too late. Besides, why would anyone send you, a complete stranger, money up front? I and many other people signed up with companies in the list at the bottom of the page. If you are being contacted by a company you did not apply with, it's most likely a scam.
All legit mystery shopping companies are free to join. Here's how the mystery shopping procedure works- 1) you sign up with the mystery shopping companies that are listed below. Take your time to sign up with several MSC to broaden your shopping area. 2) wait to be accepted as a shopper. 3) wait for login information from MSC. 4) search the job boards with each MSC you signed up with. 5) apply for shops that you are interested in doing. 6) perform the shops when received approval to do the shops. 7) do the reports. 8) wait for payments. Of course, there are many other details I left out, but this was how the mystery shopping works. Also, don't fall for those scams that you can get rich by mystery shopping. If that were true, we all be mega-millionaires by now. Also, feel free to read the other posts to gain some insight or learn something new.
