Just a new potential shopper, hoping to learn here how to get started

I was sent an invite by intellishop, read a negative review about them here though it looks like they're legit and occasionally difficult. If anyone has any tips, please let me know, thanks! I'm in Saint Paul now, likely moving back to Chicago soon. Good to learn about this. smiling smiley

Just like a lot of other MSCs, Intellishop has good and bad. Some of their shops pay well and are worthwhile, others not so much. Some of their schedulers and editors are great, others, not so much. BUT they have been around for a long time, and they are one of the first MSCs I did shops for and I still pick up shops for them from time to time, though they are not my favorite MSC at the moment. But, I have done about 200 shops for them over the past 17 years and I will do more I am sure. I think they are a great way to get started and get some experience. Take any negative views you read here with a grain of salt. There are some people who mess up shops and then come here and vent about a MSC and how horrible they are when it's not always the case. Wales gave you good advice, check out the "new shoppers" section and also look over the list of official companies (link below). Sign up with the top 15 discussed companies and you will be off to a good start. And welcome to the forum!
I have completed 62 assignments for Intelli-shop over a 13+ year period. As has been stated, some of their shops offer, what I consider, good pay, while others, fee wise, do not appeal to me. To date this year, I have been paid for my six jobs and have never read of any complaint dealing with not receiving one's money. They are a business, while shoppers are contractors, therefore, they expect competence.

The six above shops were all for the same client and entailed a $25 meal with an average fee of $11,66. In addition, as I am a veteran, the eatery extended me the courtesy of a 15% discount, increasing my spendable dollars to $28.75. My pay arrived by the 20th of the following month. Finally, I have never needed to chase my money.

OP, pick a single shop and see for yourself.
