Trendsource

I read some of the posts and agree that they are pushing too far. I have been involved in Mystery Shopping for over twenty years and resent their suddenly changing their rules.

Bonnie,
I also have done shops for Trendsource, but haven't done any recently. Can you tell me to what you are referring? Thanks
I suspect she is referring to the required background check in order to do business verifications. The rest of their shops are so underpaid that they don't even warrant looking at and I have no intention of authorizing or purchasing a background check.
These shops are so underpaid for the amount of work indolved that you should unsubscribe and never deal with them.
Not all shops that offer $75 fee and sell furniture are good. Any shop under $7.50 unless it is on YOUR route is NOT worth it when you figure the time, effort and expenses

With any company, do not accept the terms if they are vague. They are looking for you to accept and learn your “newbie” lesson unless they are willing to offer more detail about the shop

How long has the shop been offered. If you see the offer repeated many times with no takers there is probably a reason.

Tell the scheduler you are new and would like to clarify all the requirements before you accept. You are not concerned with the name of the company you are shopping but you want to be sure the content of the shop does not change from “easy” to “difficult’ after you accept.

Ask if you have the right to cancel WITHOUT PENALTY if you accept, find that the shop requires the shopper pay for expenses such as parking, or the terms are changed from difficulty mention in the scheduler’s offering to something more difficult and time consuming and reject the REAL offer within a half hour after reading it.
How many questions are involved in the report?

If you do not get a reply, you caught them in a “Newbie Scam shop” you will only do once and never again.
I used to be loyal to them. Here lately I hav ebeen receiving follow up eamil for "clarification". Well everytime they do that $1.00 is deducted from my pay. I am officially on strike with them. I am not accepting anymore shops. I want to see how well they do with out my services. Well I want to see how long before they start calling me. I sent a message about my concern but not response. I'm waiting for the call so I can verbalize my complaint.

Don't hold your breath!
I know right. I just got an email trying to fill a hard to fill location. Not doing it.

I like them, but do find their constent emails with the Business verification jobs and having to do that background check annoying. I did not do the check, but still receive the emails. I actually tried to sign up for the check, but something or another wouldn't go through, and I gave up. Their grocery store require alot of work, but since I have to eat and their in my area, I do them.

Live consciously....
Trendsource has become a thorn with extra requests for info. I have been with them over three years and find most are fair. They are my favorite with a number onegrocery chain here in Ohio .Always pay on time,, every now and then rarely though, they disallow a shop for an obscure reason, like extra sauce on a pizza.Trendsouce has a high turnover on reps I believe because of the demands they put on them to perform.Once you can self assign with TS, the shops get snapped up quickly, since we all have to eat. I did have an incident where the cashier deducted too much coupon money, I wrote it up after the office clerk said it was Ok then TS said it was invalid becaue I failed to meet minimum price of $9.00. It was a mystery shop where the store screwed up but TS wouldnt acceopt it, makes you wonder if they want to sanitize shops at times.??
I've never had a problem with trendsource, but I've never done a pizza shop. My mom did a pizza shop and they rejected it because of the photos. I've heard others complain about the Trendsource pizza jobs. The pizza jobs are on my ten-foot pole list.
The pizza shops are easy. Just follow the photo instructions. A lot easier than the previous MSC...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I agree mrscomputer101 - I did the pizza for the previous company and almost had a panic attack trying to get it right. I stayed away from doing it for Trend Source for that reason, but finally gave in. I've done two in the last month for them now and have two more scheduled.
Had an irritating situation with a Trendsource shop today. Not sure they are worth the aggravation.

This co. in my opinion is an irritating nightmare. After the fiasco I endured trying to register for my first shop and the back and forth emails from snotty incompetence of the support dept and the same scheduler with a different last name depending on which system her email message generated from, I have given up. Apparently they expect me to sit there and wait for emails despite the 3-hour time difference, and they cannot burden themselves to call the cell phone number provided on my emails to correct their system errors, resulting in why it's too late to perform the shop when the message is finally received and suddenly it is past their deadline, blah, blah, blah and then I have to send an email to support explaining why the shop was not performed... Somehow their incompetence is *my* fault. LMAO. I absolutely love BestMark and have never had a problem with them or their online system, sooooo Adios, Trendsource!...
Whew. gnippohs, sounds like an exhausting ordeal.

I find that I can be perfectly happy with 'my' scheduler and editor of an MSP, but another shopper with a different scheduler/editor has a miserable experience. So very unfortunate.

I know this is an ancient thread but I have finally become irritated with the clarifications that always fall on payday and quite often delay payment. The worst part is that the information requested was written in the report and specific answer but clarification was still requested. Not to mention the report was completed 3 days before payday. I asked support why I was not paid and they told me if I was unhappy with the shops (which I never stated), they would be more than happy to block me.

That kind of response makes me think it is becoming policy to purposely ask for unnecessary clarifications and delay payments. I think the response is highly unprofessional.
