I currently work of another merchandising company and I do work for a Target store. I just heard that the RMS representative that services the sunglasses in my Target store is quitting this week. I was thinking about seeing if I could get that job, since I have to be at my Target store weekly anyway. Yet I was wondering how many hours do you get to work the sunglass displays at Target? Do you get paid hourly or a flat rate? I never paid any attention to how long it took the RMS representative to service the sunglasses, however I venture to guess that they worked at least 1 ½ to 2 hours servicing the sunglasses.

Also, I was wondering if it is hard to service the sunglasses? Rumor had it, that the representative got mad at having to display each style of sun glass to the plan-o-gram (they were not placing the correct style in the correct place on the sun glass holder). . . and it seems that she got caught not placing the glasses in the right location.

Lastly, are there any other merchandising jobs that RMS does for Target or other stores other than sunglasses?

I just started recently with RMS and love it so far. I am alloted 4 hrs. per week for my sunglasses and also service wireless cell brochures bi-weekly. I too took this for additional hours since i service Target 2x a week for another company but have found I do best doing my sunglasses on a different day. I think it will take me a while to get the hang of their POG but it should not be too hard when I learn the different styles and where most of them go. I think the pay is fair and they understand that in the beginning your service may take more than 4 hours and they will pay hourly if it does, at least for a while. The other jobs are flat rate. I also do some one time services that can vary from week to week. It pays better than my other merchandising job!! I say go for it...I think their training is good and everyone seems really helpful in their home office.
Can you guys share the name of the Merchandising Company for Target. I am trying to leave mystery shopping and get into merchandising. So far I have jobs with MCG, Castforce, Dot2Dot, and Spar. thanks

Namaste...it's Retail Merchandising Services...rmservicing.com. You can search for jobs in your area. Great company; I just got a $25 target gift card for just signing up for direct deposit by a certain date. Office staff is very helpful when you have questions and the pay if fair!! Good luck.
