Do schedulers have much say in rates paid per job

Does anyone know if schedulers have much say in rates paid. I know when I say something about a job being too low, she comes up with a few dollars, some times more.

Yes.

Sometimes they have to get approval from a higher up but most have a bonus pool they can pull from if needed.

I've never seen bonuses for merchandising until last week when I got two.

I had a scheduler double the rate because a store manager had to ask the previous person to leave the store and never return. The scheduler wanted to be sure they got someone who could do the work, diffuse the the situation and save face for the company.

Another called to do some emergency work at bonuses rates, including paid drive time and full mileage reimbursement. This one came from the office, not the scheduler.

I just realized this was the merchandising thread. I have gotten some bonuses for merchandising jobs. I don't know if money is always available. Most mystery shopping schedulers have some money available.
