Part Time Merchandisers Needed Nationwide

Hi everyone my name is Hans and I'm a field recruiter for Survey.com. I posted on this forum earlier in the year but figured I reintroduce myself. My company does retail audits/merchandising visits all over the country. We may have projects in your area through our Survey Merchandiser app. Feel free to reach out to me on this forum or email me directly at hans@survey.com to see what's available.

Below are links to our app.

There are only $7 audits that take 45 min to an hour (not including drive time and reporting) in my area.
Hi @spicy1 Our business development team is busy working trying to get more opportunities that will be closer to you. Keep checking your app!
Oh, I didn't mean that the project was 45 minutes from me, no, no.

The project ITSELF takes 45 minutes. And, sorry, I made a mistake before, this is not a $7 job, it's a $5 job!
I started out doing these in June 2016... If I can plan a $100 route that is great, but now they won't assign more than 5-6 at a time. I was happy to do them for $6.50.
I have done really well with Survey.com. I had schedulers contacting me a lot to complete projects. Lately I can't get assignments. It is disappointing because they are a fantastic company to work with.
The "Invitation Only" jobs are great, and they pay well, usually $15 to $20 a store. The jobs you apply for on the app are really frustrating. You have to apply, then wait days for an answer, then you are expected to rush out and do them. Almost impossible to add them to an existing route. And the fees for those are dropping fast as they add more reps to an area. The people I have been in contact with at their home office are great, they just need to figure out their business model.

You are so right. I had jobs randomly assigned to me a couple of weeks ago that were willy nilly all over the place. About 3 hours before they were due. I had applied days in advance. Had to reject all of them. Same thing, I love the people that work for survey. But the assigning thing is horrible.
Thank you all for the comments and feedback. All of our projects are based on specific client needs with each having different payouts and requirements. As we continue to grow, more people are requesting the same stores so we try to balance the assignments. New features are being rolled out soon to make the assignment process better. Also, we launched a new referral system in the app where you can make up to $100/person that you refer. Simply go to Menu --> Refer a Friend.
Good horejuela! Stop giving projects to existing auditors, add more and when you have many auditors in the area then reduce pay from $12 to $5. Great job!!!

Complete opposite @lazymerch Our goal is to have multiple projects available in an area so that everyone that uses our app has an opportunity to work. Compensation is based on what the project entails not on the amount of reps in an area.

That is good to know/hear, Horejuela, as all of the talk in this thread has made me leary. It is true, the more reps that there are, in any given area, the less the pay per project. But i hear you saying That Survey.com is working it so that that doesn't happen.

Good for you, and i thank you, for i am a repeat rep for Survey.com, and would really hate making $5.00 for 45 minutes of work.

They set their parameters for pay based on the merchandisers desperation level, fact check.

They were able to lower the fees tremendously in my area because there are many poor people here.
They don't mind that Whole Foods, Target and even Walmart employees don't want to assist their merchandisers because they are afraid of them or freaked out by them; pants shredded, dirty and dangling on the bottom because they're 4 inches too long, dirty front of their shirts, hair greasy on top, fingernails dirty and walk like they have all day pushing the cart like they're shopping instead of pulling. Spending the first half an hour signing in at the vendor desk and trying to figure out what product they're looking for. The client should really send spot checkers into the field; preferably their marketing reps. I walked through the exit at Walmart yesterday where security was searching a merchandiser who 'represents' Crossmark.

They're not alone, though, so don't blame them. This is the way of most app based "merchandising companies" that hire I.C. without knowing who / what they're dealing with.

Oh!
Thank you!

How do you get on the invitation only list?
You get on the invitation list by establishing a relationship with their recruiters. But I haven't been offered anything in ages. They are on my back burner now as I tire of "applying" for jobs and rarely get any assigned. It was just too frustrating. If I can't fit them into a route they are useless to me as most gigs are $10 and under now. I have seen several in the $5-7 range lately and I just shake my head.

At least with gigwalk you get immediate answers when you apply. I do lots of $3-7 jobs for them. The difference is that I am already at the store for a different company and just do the gig while at the store. Survey.com just doesn't get it at the moment. Or maybe they do and have a bunch of people ready to race out and do the jobs , which is why they never respond to me anymore.
Thanks for the info. That's what I'm trying to do too, build on to what I already have. I'll check out that gigwalk, thanks!!!
Maybe they, like IPSOS, have / find people that have nothing going on, do not need to plan anything. Maybe the stars line up for them every single time.
I agree with all of you and they drastically went down in terms of payments and redundant questions in survey.

They want you to audit products, count, straight them, take a bunch of unnecessary photos etc... and also involve manager to get system inventory for just $7-$8 ? Come on survey.com be realistic.... They are also expecting you to drvie 150-200 miles for set of 10-15 shops and not willing to pay mileage or any bonus.

survey.com was one of my favorite app and now I am starting hating this app.
And, if there's any product in the backroom to pack it out to the home and anywhere else in the store that you can! It's the tremendous amount of questions, next, next, next that got me. But what really made me delete their app from my phone was the photo requirements. Take a photo over every row, every column, every product that is out of stock, every product that does not have a tag. Then, now, they want competitor info! Don't get me wrong, I'll do it all. I do all of that work every day. Even if it is a 'Mystery shop' wrapped up in a 'Merchandising' package, no problem. But I'm not a backyard mechanic. And if I was, rest assured, for that pay I would be using silicone caulk instead of going to the Auto Parts store and buying a gasket just like the people who are performing these audits are doing.
