Updates

Is it just me or is the Updates notification not working anymore? Normally when I open the forum it turns white and when I hit the drop down button it gives me a list of topics I've posted in that have a reply since my last view and any new likes. It hasn't seemed to work for about a week (?) now.

Mine aren't working either. I thought it was just me, that somehow I had turned the setting off in my profile, maybe.
LOL. I thought it was just me, too. I was monkeying with my profile settings and thought that caused the problem. The last update for me was April 15th
I hope it gets fixed soon.
How else am I supposed to know how many likes my posts get?

Yep, no Updates regardless. I was also checking my settings. I see recent quotes of my posts, likes, etc in threads but no Update alerts.

My posts are solely based on my opinions and for my entertainment, contact a professional if you need real advice.

ETA: i asked if anyone reported that the updates weren't working, and then realized this thread is under "Meta." So, yeah...it's been reported smiling smiley

You know what else isn't working? The new button. Abput 1/4th of the time when I hit the new button instead of taking me to the first new post in a topic it takes me to the first post.

Depending on how many times shoptastic has replied it could tale hours to scroll through a thread to get to the new posts.

Ha! Bgriffin, the quote feature is by the far the most overused, misused and abused feature in the forum. Super long posts can be bad enough. When they are quoted in their entirety it becomes frustrating reading threads.

My husband gets "wind" energy gathering in a gastric sense when he eats taco bell and consumes caffeine. I believe there was a line out of a Monty Python movie about that "general direction".

I know! It's been like 2 months now. I don't think Jacob has been paying much attention to the board.

Griff, you are only long winded when you are whining about something (which is like, every other day, LOL).
Nonsense! I whine daily!
