You will need to complete an application with the mystery shopping company that provides shoppers for the bank. You will do that with any MSP you want to work with, or whose job boards you want to search. After your application has been accepted, you can access more information, using the password and user name selected. Some MSPs' acceptance is immediate - submit your application and within minutes you'll receive approval in your inbox. Other MSPs take time to approve.

Hi,

Does anyone know who schedules casino shops? I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and am interested in doing some casino shops. Please let me know. Thanks for your help.

Carolyn
Hi,
I started shopping a few months ago.I live in California and would appreciate it if someone could tell me which companies are the highest rated.
Not to be snotty adkunkle, but the highest rated companies are the ones that have shops in your area and are paying on schedule with fees you are comfortable with. I.e. it is really a matter of taste once you get past the basics of whether they are paying fees you feel are fair in a time frame that was what you contracted to do. Do read through the forum and keep an eye out for companies that are not paying in a timely fashion. Also watch for companies folks are having issues with either the job expectations versus pay and the overall civility of the company to work with. Shoppers should not expect the companies to hold their hand, but they should be able to ask an intelligent question and be treated with professional respect.
Hi all

I'm new here and live in Orlando. I have been a shopper for a while now. I am signed up with several companies and find that there aren't many places to shop right now.

Anyone else hit with the economy??
Very definitely! I also am in Florida and a big part of the problem is store closures of companies faltering in the rest of the country as well as ones that are closing duplicate stores here or local and going out of business. Many, many companies have discontinued shops and/or have moved to MSPs that don't pay enough to take the car out of the driveway.
I've said this before. I've lost my Target, Walgreen's, and Casino shops so far. There are still enough for me to do as I only look to make $150/200 a month, but I enjoyed doing the latter.
Hello everyone. My name is Sheila an I have been a Mystery Shoppers for five years and absolutely love it. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My husband company relocated us to Dallas, TX, big change for us Floridians but I love it here, especially the weather and the nice people. I had some slow periods of Mystery Shopping in Florida but seem to be real busy in the Dallas are. I love the extra money and of course with two boys at the University of Florida, (gators) every penny helps. As I mystery shoppers, I was very discouraged at first, with low paying assignments and not enough but overtime, things really got better. It's a full time jobs searching for assignments and I do work very hard at that. Good Luck to all the new shoppers...
Hello,

I have been doing shops for 2 weeks. I have recently signed up with Trendsource and Bestmark to get more jobs (Intellishop hasn't listed anything I can do). My problem is they haven't contacted me about any shops. It said that I am not yet a MS with them. Does it usually take a few days to here anything? Marketforce and Athpower sent me jobs immediately.
I was signed up with those two and a few others for months before they ever needed a shopper in my area and activated me. There are companies I have been registered with for more than a year without a peep from them and then suddenly they get a client in my area and need a new best buddy to go do shops. It is just part of the way it works.

On the other hand, the majority of companies activate you within a day or two and you can see whether there are shops in your area or not.
Thanks, Flash. I was starting to think that I was being scammed. Are there any companies you know of that are scams?
I don't know any companies that are specifically scams. In my non-mystery shopping email account that I use to sign up for contests and such I see a lot of 'work from home' offers of various ilks that I feel sure are scams and I just steer clear of them. The companies I work with can mostly be found on lists of companies in this forum, on Volition.com or at other legitimate sites.

My reaction is that legitimate companies do not ask you to pay any fees to work for them. Some companies have two categories of registration--paid and free. Free registration works fine. Some outfits want you to buy a membership and they will send you leads on jobs. Keep your money in your pocket. Read forums to see who folks are shopping for and who they are having problems with--forums are free and don't get suckered into sending 'contributions' to 'support' them. Certifications can be bought through the MSPA or some other outfits. They are all equally worthless to most shoppers in most markets. Some folks in markets with lots of competition from other shoppers feel certifications may give them an edge on getting jobs.

My reaction is that any site asking you to send them money for any aspect of shopping is a scam.
I have been shopping for about eight years and absolutely love it! When I first got started, I did many overnight hotel shops but I can't seem to locate as many now as I did back then. My memory is getting badsmiling smiley so if you know the names of any companies that do hotels, please share.

I'm new to this site and I've enjoyed hearing about all of your shopping experiences!

Thanks!
Hi my name is Maxine,I live in Massachusetts.I already posted a message looking for companies that do internet mystery shopping or even telephone (forgot to put that in my post),I have about 2 months exp. doing internet shopping.Glad I found this site!!
Hi my name is Zina. I have been wanting to be a mystery shopper since I've been working in fast food and grocery store. And I have been in other stores other than the stores I have worked in and find myself checking out how other stores do things and how they look and how they treat their customers. Its somthing I would really like to do.
Hello,
I signed up for one company and they kept sending me to the same restaurant...
At first, the restaurant was dirty and lazy, after a few months, they really got their act together...
The puzzling thing is, is that the company kept sending me to the exact same restaurant!?!
In my report, I finally said that there was absolutely Nothing wrong, and was puzzled why they kept sending me there?

They sent me there again! I sent in a perfect report, and they emailed me back sniping about my spelling..!!!
What am I supposed to do, sing and dance for them..??? What am I missing here?
Am I shopped out? Are they idiots? Both? What gives?

Please advise,
thanks!

MSPs only send shoppers where we agree to go.

You don't say which MSP you are referring to, but clients, if they can afford it, will continuously have their location shopped for evaluation criteria. One month may be spot on, the next month may not. Reports should be spell checked, and as grammatically correct as possible.
Hello, Everyone! I have been mystery shopping since October 2008 and find I learn something with every shop. I have enjoyed the postings in this forum and picked up some good information. I have even decided against doing some shops that I was considering because of the feedback on either the MS company or the rediculously long forms with very little pay. Look forward to reading more in this forum.
Hello!

I have been Shopping for almost a year now. My list of companies is growing slowly but regularly. Though I do not live in a metropolitan area, I can often schedule groups of shops when I do have to go in to the city. I really like doing phone shops from the comfort of home. Every little bit helps!

Hello!

I'm new here..Thank you for accepting me into this forum becuase I love to shop smiling smiley. I hope to find and contribute good information regarding fashion and designer made clothing and celebrity designed apparel and accessories.
Be very careful about your expectations LisaRole. While there are some designer accessories shops and on occasional upscale clothing, these are most often purchase and return shops that can require a purchase of several hundred dollars. If the item is in your possession and can be returned, it can work out okay, though generally your fees for the evaluation will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-20. And they are not looking for opinion of the items but rather the courtesy of the sales staff.
