Feedback on “PET RETAIL” shop.

I have seen these “PET RETAIL” shops from time-to-time and they seem to pay really well (normally at least $30). Yet just reading the shop's pre-guidelines, they seem awful long, very detailed, and time consuming to do what is physically required to be done in the shop itself. Yet it sounds like it would probably take hours just to do the report for a shop like this, based on all of what is required in the pre-guidelines.

Has anyone done a “PET RETAIL” shop? If so, what are your thoughts?

I won't touch those shops. The only way I can see doing one and not sticking out like a sore thumb would be to have a story ready about being in a marketing class at <local college> and preparing my part of a group project. The fee just isn't worth it to me, though, so I don't ever apply.

I did one, gave up half way through, but then went back to finish. It was way too nerve-wracking for me. I had to squint and have my tired old eyes right next to the shelf to be able to see the numbers. I have heard others think this shop is great, so more power to them. There are some shops, however, you just have to do once yourself, to make sure it is, or isn't for you.
I guess it depends on the stores. The one in my area is really small with only two aisles. None of the food on the list is carried by the store. You need to pull each flavor down to get the UPC. No way can you be inconspicuous. Not easy with he 50lb bags.

I've done one but never again. Used a story about checking for an ingredient my vet told me to avoid.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
Thank you Everyone for your feedback and comments on this shop. For sure, this DEFINITELY does not sound like a shop that I want to try . . . not even once! Too much on-site work and no telling how long and or detailed the report this type of shop requires for the $30 pay.

I agree with you Tjmonty when you said “I have heard others think this shop is great, so more power to them.” LOL!!! Yet since I have been a ms for over a year, just visualizing in my mind what the on-site guidelines are for a Pet Retail shop are, I found pretty grueling in my own mind, and I know my head would just explode if I gave thought to the report required for this shop. LOL!!! I’ll pass on this type of shop.
