Paypal

I am new to paypal. I have received payment from 2 companies. I requested payment. Now does paypal send me a check or does it have to be direct deposit? How long does it take to receive payment from paypal once the company has sent it to paypay?

You have to register a bank account at Paypal, and you can then transfer payments to that account. it's really very simple once you set it up.
In your account go to transfer funds and set up a bank account...if you do not have one you can get prepaid credit cards that work as well. It takes about 3-5 days for the funds to appear.
I use paypal when I buy from e-bay. So, I had a paypal account before I started mystery shopping. Paypal's website is not always user friendly. Very often I have to call their customer service to get through my objectives.

As mentioned, you do have to have a personal bank account registered with them. When you give them your banking information, they will send two small payments to that bank. You will then have to let paypal know that it was received and submit the two small amounts according to the instructions they give you. Then you are set to go.

When the mystery shop submit payments to paypal, you can then transfer that payment to your personal bank account.

Very often, I find that the mystery shops lump payments instead of listing which shop your payment is for. This makes it hard, because then you have to go into their websites to find out.

If you are working for multiple company's, this is a pain. You will have to keep good records of all of your jobs.

It is better for me for the bank employees to see a Paypal payment instead of which "mystery shopping" company is paying me. But it is a nuisance in some other ways. I would much rather have direct deposit, if the company had a name that didn't sound like mystery shopping. I used my Paypal account, however, to pay for my Silver certification.
I wish all shopping companies offered me the option of Paypal. I feel more secure not giving my bank info out. I prefer not having checks in my mailbox where they can (and have) been stolen. I prefer not having to run through the bank with a night deposit with those checks that say "Mystery Shopper Account". And I also am very aware that when the companies send money to Paypal it is verified good funds already and the check won't bounce. The delay of a couple of days for money to move from Paypal to my bank is no worse than the mailing time for a check to get to me--and probably better.
I prefer payments to be made through PayPal, rather than get a run-around from an accounting department that the check eas mailed on such a date in a certain amount, and if you didn't get, you just have to wait for 90 days to make certain it wasn't cashed. Bullhits. Why don't the companies just save on postage and do the payments electronically?
