Strange email form a Kern Scheduler

Did anyone get this, if so can you please tell me what in the ham and cheese is dude talking about. I think I get it but want other feeback.

Unfortunately, after an 8 year partnership with **** ******* at ****, she has chosen to take her business to a former employee of KSS that has started her own scheduling company. We are all very disappointed, as we worked very hard for many years to pull off these projects with 100% completion standards. Thank you so much for your help over the past months/years, it is truly appreciated. Perhaps the new company will not be as successful as we were since they do not have the relationships with you that we have worked so hard at building, and they will come back to us in the future. If so, we will definitely let you know!

I do have other projects that I will be scheduling starting in February. I will definitely give top priority to all of my former **** shoppers. Again, thank you so much for your hard work and support. It's been a pleasure.

What can I say? I think the e-mail summed it upwinking smiley

Sounds like high school to me. Basically a veiled hope that shoppers won't work for the new scheduling company. Poor professional form on the part of the schedulers. Letting shoppers know about the change is great. Wishing a competitor ill will is tacky at best.
Relationship is important, but I am very practical. Will work with any MS company that pay the most smiling smiley
Well I know exactly who and what he is talking about although I did not get the email myself. The new scheduling company has actually been in business several years and the owner is a former scheduling manager at Kern. I was surprised yet not surprised to see the move.

I would love to know the name of the new company and see what businesses they shop!

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.

No clients have been named so I don't see a problem - pretty sure it is Summit Scheduling. I don't believe they have a job board.

I just received same email today, and was a bit schocked, but glad to be informed about the change, unhappy about it as the msc paid quickly, and
I enjoyed those easy "fun" shops. The bad mouthing about Kern was not
neccessary, but I guess wishfull thinking. I haven't gotten any email
from Kern showing shops...I hope I'm on their good list.

The shops are still with the same MSC and are in fact on their job. I am pretty sure they will still be paying on the same schedule that they have been all these years. They are just being scheduled by a different company. Looks like the pay and shop is still the same.

This particular company was mentioned in an earlier post regarding a third party MSC. In an email to me from the third party scheduler I was informed that they had acquired this particular type of shops.

Its sounds like Mr ZonKer is sore. My remedy is if you were assigned by the MC and did not go through KSS, your shops and reliability have already spoke for you. If your shops were assigned through the other scheduling company then those shop speak for for you.

Mr Zonkers needs a vacation. I surprised KSS have not responded here yet.
There were no shops on the original ms's board in my area, and we have two shops in my town...looks like their all gone here. I haven't received any
invites to do them "yet".

No loss for me. I had one experience with Greg and I wasn't impressed. After applying several times for an additional shop and never getting anything, I gave up. Delete, delete, delete.
I was no very surprised. I noticed a few months ago that Mary was scheduling more and more of her own shops. All the usual QAMS shops are posted this month on the QAMS site.
I haven't received the email, but I noticed that the shops were being scheduled by Mary @ QAMS for the past few months. I also got an email from the new scheduler that landed in my junk folder. It looks like she takes over beginning in February.

I didn't have a big problem with Greg, but I agree his email practices were annoying. You'd apply for a shop & he'd send another email asking for help.

The email he sent to you is unprofessional, though.
That's business! Clients change MSCs....MSCs change schedulers/editors.

The funny thing is that it's pretty deluded to think that shoppers are loyal to any MSC or scheduling company. With few exceptions, I shop for the pay and benefits. Some schedulers are better than others, but I'll take the job either way.

There's basically one pool of shoppers out there and we work for ALL of the MSCs. Clients change companies thinking they will get new blood and end up getting the exact same shoppers. Oy!!!
I've often thought of clients wanting a different pool of shoppers by changing MSCs. It was especially funny with the mutilated pizza since it was the same pool of shoppers despite being at umpteen different mystery shopping companies, LOL!

Greg is starting to sound familiar to me since the e-mails were always begging for shoppers and offering a chance to win a prize. Yeah, that's why I mystery shop. The most irritating were the "please help" that were just looking for backup shoppers. WTF. I can't say getting dozens of e-mails for the same shops every day will be missed.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

New MSC's do bring changes as their new age requirements say under 45, or their pay is lower, and many of us won't work for lower, therefore, they will get many newbies. I just saw a mobil phone kiosk that requires the age to be 35 or under with a new MSC. They have no reason to change unless they better from it, so, I'm not expecting kern (just starting out) to give the shoppers
more than the old 7.00 + 5.00 reimbursement, but, maybe the report won't be so repetitive.

But the point is Kern doesn't have this shop anymore - it has moved to Summit but I believe we are applying through the Qams website. Summit is handling the scheduling through their board. I worked as a scheduler and clients (MSCs) could arrange it so that outside schedulers and scheduling companies could assign through the MSCs website. I did it for many different companies.

Received it, must say the email was (thankfully) "one of a kind" .. very unusual in our profession to see such widespread 'bad mouthing'...

Greg has done this to me as well. I delete the e-mails for that client now. I will work my butt off for you, but don't delete my app under the guise of "looking for more shoppers" when I've done exactly two.
That is funny. I did notice this Greg has not sent me further emails and now know why. Although he would not give me shops in Albuquerque area for unknown reasons, I emailed him once and questioned him about it. He never did give me jobs even though he seemed desperate for shoppers. I won't miss you and hopefully will get some of the shops you used to schedule. Good luck and I hope you do not have the Albuquerque area for scheduling, it is such a difficult market to fill with shoppers.
I thought a friend of Marys (Qams) worked for Kern, and is now starting her own MSC, not going to summit, have to wait it out as Qams no longer have jobs on their site here. No great loss, but still....

Live consciously....
That is not my understanding but I could be confused - however I did get an email about the shops from Summit this morning about the open shops (all listed) and was directed to apply for them on the Qams job board.

Thank Liz....I didn't receive anything, but take your word for it...smiling smiley

I've recently received emails about other shops from the scheduler in question, with an email address associated with that particular MSC. I've also received emails for the shop you're talking about, which have the Summit address. I could be wrong, but it seems like it's more that she went out on her own as an independent, and doesn't work exclusively for anyone.
Yeah really unprofessional. I have never seen anything like this. Greg never did me any favors. He sounds angry and may be, but it does not belong on a message to shoppers.
OH maybe QAMS will realize how great we were as schedulers and come back to us? And all our loyal shoppers will be right there with us. This is delusional talk and I am sure when QAMS reads this, yeah, they will beg them to come back. NOT.
