Schedulers that have me SMH

Received an email yesterday evening from a scheduler of an MSC that I've been working for years with stating that "We need an experienced shopper in your area to complete this XYZ shops before the end of this weekend." After considering my weekend availability, I reply to his email stating that I would be available to complete these shops for him, no problem. Not a peep from him at all for a return reply today.

So exactly 24 hours later from the first email that he sent out (yesterday), I receive an email stating "Shoppers, we really, really, really need your help in completing XYZ shops before the end of this weekend." Ding Ding Ding!! Umm, Hello?? Did I not just answer your email stating that I would do it? Its not as if I'm not in your database. I just completed a few shops with the MSC last month!

I dunno. I thought that emails were far more preferred for schedulers than phone calls. Guess I'll just have to call this scheduler up. And no, my email handle doesn't go to spam either, considering that I've emailed other schedulers at this MSC before.

SMH!!

This drives me crazy too. I get these email BEGGING for help. I reply I can do it, and never hear back. I really appreciate the companies that send out the "closed" emails.
Yes and there are the ones who really need a shop done on a specific day, a local steakhouse, and you apply, several days before, saying you absolutely can do it on the required evening. You wait, and wait, and wait and check the job board, and your application is still there, and they are still emailing that they need a shopper. Then the day comes, you haven't heard a word from them, you log on, and your application is still there....and the job is still unassigned on the board. Since you have just gotten a good offer on another job for that evening, you delete your application, and take the other job, only to get a nastygram from the first company who now has no one to give the shop to.
If they need someone that bad, they should not wait until the day they need them to notify them that they were approved for the shop. Just sayin'

YES, This is one of my pet peeves. I apply for a shop and it won't be scheduled until the day it is due. I don't wait until shopping day to make up my schedule folks, I need at least a couple of days for planning, printing etc.
The schedulers seem to think we can hold a slot open on our schedule until whenever they get around to scheduling it. I hold that slot only until a definite job is offered before I cancel the application.
I had the same thing happen to me last week. I answered not one, but two emails from a MSC that needed someone immediately and have heard nothing from either email! It makes one wonder if they do this just to see if anyone will respond! SMH

I get good results from sending a NEW email rather than reply. I change the subject line etc and usually get their attention.
Don't feel bad! I didn't know it either. SMH lol

Today I Will Choose Joy!

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
I was emailed by a scheduler saying they really needed me to complete this job. When I answere back, which was right away, they said they found someone else.
I think that some schedulers forget that we also work for other companies. This is why they think that can assign us a shop at the last minute. Shoppers compete with other shoppers to get the jobs, but schedulers need to realize that they are competing with other mystery shopping companies to get our services.

I thought it meant "Shoot my Hp". my bad. :-)

As a shopper, it drives me nuts, as a scheduler it drives me nuts too. One client I worked for it would let us see what shops had applicants for all the schedulers, and I would notice that some shops had applicants for quite some time. I always accept applications within 24 hours...is that fair...LOL.

But Kyle you are one of those schedulers who works 24/7!

Sleep? What's that? I've learned how to answer emails while on the treadmill at the gym. So yes, I work 24/7, but not when I'm driving.

Would not the schedulers save everyone, including themselves, time & headaches if they stated the rotation in their "urgent" e-mails?
I know I'd appreciate it.
