I get these all the time with different company names. I get them in differnt variations. Luckily I'm very skeptical and have never fallen for one.
I received one that was listed as a shop from palm scheduling and it came with a video. After watching the video I realized this is not a mystery shop but it is cloaked as one. It was actually a company in texas using mystery shoppers to do the buy gold for cash thing. That is all it was. It listed that the shop paid a flat fee of $25 and the price of the jewelry. Has is this even a shop. It was just I will mail you an envelope and then send you money for your jewelry!??!

I think this one may be legit. I've seen 4 other posts where people say they sent their jewelry in and received offers for the jewelry. After the on-line evaluation and offer has been made, they ask you a few verbal questions for comment. You have to participate in an orientation first, for which they don't pay. I've gone that far but still haven't made up my mind about sending some costume jewelry for appraisal. I won't send anything of significant value. Apparently, even if you don't accept their offer, they will pay you the $25 flat fee and return what you've sent. They only insure your shipment for $500 though, so if you think it's worth more, you must pay for the additional insurance both ways. Note that they also promise they will make an offer that is 30% higher than the going rate. Those that participated said the offers were average and/or fair and to do your homework ahead of time. Would love to hear additional feedback from others who have participated before moving forward though.
