rural post office shops

Ok, I have never done a post office shop, but I'm thinking about them and have a question. Do these shops ever get bonused? What about post office locations out in rural areas...do they ever fetch nice bonuses?

I haven't seen them bonused. I saw one lingering on the board so I emailed saying I could do it if bonused but got no reply. It's still sitting there.
Not more than $2.50 - $5.00.

I've also inquired about bonuses on those rural post offices - silence. And they stay on the boards for months.

I've taken a couple as "fillers" along with heavily bonused rural apartment shops, gas stations, retail, etc. Adding four post offices to a long rural trip pays my $50 gasoline bill.

Don't count on them getting $30 bonuses all of a sudden; perhaps they just aren't a priority for either the client or the MSC. When they DO become a priority and get a bonus - snap em up!
Snuffy - I work a lot of boonie towns and in 2011 I was able to pick up one at $40 and one at $30. Everything else I've done has been at regular fee. I agree these are seldom bonused, but if on your route they are a quick in and out and not a complicated report. I've found they do like a little more narrative than I originally thought. I heard from them once on this issue asking for more general comments. After that I made general positive comments about the grounds, the exterior and interior of the building, the demeanor of the clerk, etc. Previously I had only addressed negatives in my narratives.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I have gottten as much as a 40. bonus for a rural po that they say they have trouble getting someone to do it.
Same here, about 1 month after they are initially posted, the commission doubles, after a couple of weeks more the commission hits the $40.00 mark. I to am out in the boonies.

As for bonus - I have just now seen a bonus for the schedule C shops - and this was made I think on the first posting. As for the rural shops, I'm not in such an area. Good luck. smiling smiley

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
I've done USPS ones, but that co does not pay mileage or bonus.. it so happened a few times I was up in Timbuckto and got several jobs at one time, but not here.

I have done many of the post office jobs in Kentucky and I almost always get a bonus. I have gotten as much as 45.00 to do one.
The highest bonused I got was $25 period, not on top of regular fee.

I just got an email today asking if I would do three PO totaling up to 60 miles one way. I said I would do them for 40.00 each and they said they would give me 35. I figured it is still was a good deal.
