You absolutely can NOT be OCD when editing. You MUST learn to let the little things go or you'll spend an hour on most reports. I'm not doing this for a charity and as Julie has always said, the clients have never complained about grammar, just scoring. Doesn't mean we can submit a lousily written report but we don't have to nitpick over every grammatical error, either. Whew!

That just proves you're crazy in my book. LOL I always say to be a shopper, you've got to be a touch crazy. To be an editor, you definitely have to be crazy, but to be a scheduler, you have to be certifiable. LOL God bless the schedulers because without y'all, I wouldn't have a job as an editor or shopper.

Funny, because I feel exactly that way about scheduling. Editing, however, I make a decent amount but I'm also not working for a scheduling company, which you noted could make a difference. I work directly for the MSCs and I am loving my check I get every month, especially because it keeps growing.
To the OP, I suggest you do a search for "editing" or "editors" as there have been a few threads on this exact thing that I've answered recently. If you have any questions not answered, add them to the list and I'll help if I see the post. Or PM me if you'd like.
