Scheduler Dawn Hunt - known ??? HELP !!!

Does anyone know this scheduler. Did anyone work with this scheduler.
The work needs to be done in word!!!

Any ideas if I can get word for free. Microsoft wants $150. Our military store says that they have a military version, which would work ok fo $80.
I have no idea. HELP!!!

Hello. This is Dawn Hunt. I am an independent scheduler and schedule merchandising, mystery shopping, market research studies, etc. I have work USA and Canada. If you are interested in being in my data base, please sign up at the link below. When I have jobs in your area, you will get an email telling you about a job.I can not guarantee that I have work in your area, but I do pass along leads from other schedulers since we network together. When you sign up with me, you will receive monthly newsletters with tidbits of useful information, and a thank you letter for signing up with all sorts of links you will like.If you email me, I will also send you a free mystery shopping list with many companies on it. There is no cost for being in my data base or the newsletters. The only thing I ask of you is that if I schedule you for a job, and you do not want to complete it, you COMMUNICATE that with me.Clients expect 100 percent completion on projects. Ok. Open Office is available for free at OpenOffice.org as a download. It includes a variant of Word which I have heard no one having incompatibility issues with. At the same time you can download an entire "Office" lookalike suite including equivalents of Excel and Power Point etc. This software is "open source" and many folks have voluntarily worked on bug fixes and such to have it work well. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the latest and greatest Microsoft "production" but it is functional and free.

As for Dawn Hunt, I never heard of her and she is obviously building a database of shoppers rather than actually scheduling work, so I would be wary. Do you need monthly newsletters with "tidbits of useful information"? Do you need a "free mystery shopping list with many companies on it"? You can get that stuff here, also for free, without becoming part of somebody's database for legitimate or other purposes.
I'd give this gal a "big wide berth" Sounds "fishy" to me.

Like Flash says you can get everything she is promising here. For free!

I'm assuming someone wants the narratives written in work then copy and paste into the survey?

Or is the survey a Word Document?
I do believe Dawn used to be with a known scheduling company or MS company but I haven't seen any posts from her lately. That may explain why she's decided to venture out on her own. I would tactfully ask her what her background is since I'm sure she'll ask you yours. Good luck and go with your gut!

Peace! Happy shopping!
I know her, but I've never worked for her. She works or worked for Palm Scheduling. She also has her own website and newsletter regarding various ways of making money from home. She's not a spammer.

But Palm's site is not always updated.

She sent me one job 6 months ago which was not explained very well, and by the time we emailed back and forth, the shop was gone. It turned out to be legit, as I've done 2 similar ones since for Ellen Poe at Palm. I haven't received another shop from Dawn in 6 months.
Thanks to you all.

Flash, the report was sent as an attachment word form. I am not so into computer. I will sent you a sample, and you tell me if I could fill this document/form with Open Office. I am supposed to fill in the data and report it per e-mail attachment to her and to consumer critique.

By the way, how can I e-mail you, and how do I get pictures into this space?

I appreciate your help. This is too much technologie for a beginner. So please help.
If she's still working for Palm, the reports are always in Word. All of mine are. Open Office docs can be read by Word, no problem.

What kind of shop is this? Is it a music survey for a restaurant?
Hi sneakers,

it's a bakery shop for consumer critique. Can Open Office read word documents?
===================
I actually purchase MS OFfice last year because I needed MSword for a shop w/Palm.
I wrote the purchase off as expense for MSing on my taxes........I did purchase it for $110........I know I don't use half the stuff.........but you couldn't get MSword by itself.
It was funny because when I tried to send the report, she couldn't open it since she had MS2003 version..........she didn't expect I would have MS2007. She ended up having me send it to another scheduler who could open it.

Thanks for all your information. I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks Flash - I downloaded Open Office, it took me a little while but I could write my report. I only hope that Dawn and consumer critique are ok with it.

I received a call from Dawn today. She was really nice.
She is still scheduling for Palm.
I've had problems for years with anyone named Dawn or Tiffany.

bugs--Word 2007 has introduced a new format called docx, after using doc all these years. No other version can read it, but there might be converters at the Office Updates section of their site. We're all going to have problems reading them. You're going to have problems with people who have earlier versions. MS works constantly to make their older software obsolete. It's a tough task, but they take pride in it.

You CAN get MS Word by itself, and if you need any other software, email me privately.

Vero--she works for Consumer Critique too? I' haven't gotten anything from her in 6 months, and I'm on her email list.

I have this problem. I tell my students that I cannot open .docx format, and they need to convert to .pdf or save as for a previous word version. I still have to give a zero for a report I can't open, and tell them to resubmit for a higher grade before they pay attention to it. Pretty soon I just have to break down and buy the teacher student new edition!

Having worked for 10 years in the computer industry before returning to school, I can knowingly say that most computer companies want to dump support of older products asap, I despise MS and their programs, but, I do have to give them credit for always releasing Word with the option to save for an older edition.

I'm in computer repair. I also had to dump 10 years of greeting cards that I had made from scratch with PrintShop 6, because I got a scratch on the CD, and couldn't reinstall it after formatting my comp. Print Shop 10 won't read the files.

Is there a converter on the MS site, in the Office Updates section, that would allow those of us with earlier Words to read docx? I have Word 2000, and I will absolutely NOT upgrade to any newer versions.
Hi everyone. Dawn Hunt is one of my schedulers. She has been with my company since 2000, as has Ellen Poe and Jeannine Yaniz, and Frances Massengale has been with me since 2004. Dawn has always done a great job of communicating with me, our clients and with her shoppers. She makes 100% completion on nearly all of her accounts, month after month, and rgularly updates me on all of her accounts.

Yes, we do have some clients that want the reports written in Word or Excel, but that has nothing to do with us, we just schedule the shops as the clients request.

If anyone has a question about Dawn, please call me at 562-697-1809 or feel free to call Dawn at 972-276-0472 CST. She loves talking to shoppers, and she is one of the friendliest people I have ever known.

Thank you,
