Anyone know about PayQuicker? Sounds worse than PayPal...

PQ Will charge me $4.95 to transfer funds to my Canadian bank account.
I won't do any work for this company unless they pay stupid money for a shop.
Maybe I could use PQ as a savings vehicle...?

I'm interested in hearing your experiences - thanks

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
SpyGirl, there are several discussions on PayQuicker. Use the "Search" function on the forum and select "all dates" and search for both ACE and PayQuicker and you will find all the discussion. I personally love ACE and have done a number of jobs for them but I'm not comfortable with PayQuicker so I have not performed a shop with them since September when they went with ACE. Some people who have signed up believe that PayQuicker is working for them. Search and read all the opinions and information.
I would also contact Steve from PayQuicker about that fee. You can find his information on the ACE/PayQuicker thread. So far, for any payment from a MSC, there is no fee that goes along with it. I actually prefer it to PayPal for a number of reasons and have chosen PayQuicker over PayPal when it's an option with a MSC.

Spygirl,

Not only talk to Steve on the chat with Payquicker, but call ACE and tell them about it.

In the US we get first transfer ( I think it's per month ) for free,.

But I got a debit card from payquicker for free, ..and I used the balance in it
for gas for shops. No fee.

I would ask Steve if you get a debit card can you just have your money transferred into the debit card...(you have to ask them on line when you get paid to transfer your pay to the debit card each time) .

Then would your exchange rate in Canada from US $ to Canadian be better? instead of having the US bank make the exchange rate and your having to pay a fee?

There's no fee to get the debit card and no fee to ask them to put your money in the debit card.

PS, the debit card is also a Visa card...does that help you any?

oh yeah, then there's the exchange rate...
So far there have been no shops in my area so I'm not that worried.
Thanks for all advice...and I didn't think to use the 'search' feature.

Shoppinalong, it's for every payment with ACE, not just one a month. It's just that payments are made once a month, unless I suppose there was an error, then you might get two. As an editor and shopper for ACE, I get two payments a month and they're always free to transfer. ACE pays for that cost themselves. So does Amusement Advantage as I've gotten payments from them and no fees when I transferred the money to my account. There's another company but I can't remember the name. I haven't done shops for the other company but I'd imagine they'd pay the fee there, too. MSCs pay the fee with PayPal and this is the same premise.
Yes, there are other threads on the subject of PayQuicker and you should look at those.

To update what I remember, there is only one MSP that I know of (ACE), using Payquicker.

OP: I have not had any problem at all with PayQuicker. Get the full amount also, no fees charged to us shoppers.

I also opted for the debit card and just got another payment and realized I forgot about the first one a couple months back. Nice Surprise.

Thank you. Last I heard, ACE offers only Payquicker as an payment option.

You're correct. They moved away from PayPal years ago and went from checks or direct deposit to PayQuicker.

Like it's been mentioned, Amusement Advantage offers PayQuicker and I'm pretty sure one other one does, too. Though I can't remember which company as I've never done a shop for them. I know a few other companies who have talked about switching over to PayQuicker. Some might moan and complain, but I hope they do. Just as shoppers don't want to pay any mind to the PayPal/eBay issues because they say it doesn't relate to them or shopping, I'm not worried about an extinct Kardashian debit card or banks used for international payments as neither is related to shopping or as it concerns me. Of course, if you're out of the U.S., what bank is used would be good to know. I'm not so no worries here. winking smiley
I am fairly sure that ACE still offers a check pymnt w/ a small processing fee, maybe not in Canada. I have received several Payquicker payments, one a week ago within 36 hours, free no problem whatever. I just do not like rumors and misinformation getting in the way of shoppers taking jobs with good MSCs.

Thanks for calling ACE a good MSC and speaking up about your positive experience with ACE, Cyn. It's appreciated.

As for checks, they're not offered anymore. When they first switched to PayQuicker, they did allow checks since some had already completed reports before the switch was made. They did that for a couple months. Now they use only PayQuicker. It's easier for them to process the payments accurately with less mistakes that direct deposit had, has prevented fraudulent shoppers from registering twice with PayQuicker, and keeps things neat and tidy for tax purposes.

I realize some don't know PayQuicker and do not want to give it a try. That's their right. However, the vast majority of shoppers have switched (under 4% declined) and there have been a minimal number of issues. Julie and Tiffany love using PayQuicker and once I switched, I'm happy, too. So it's definitely around to stay. Just FYI for those interested.
I know it for a fact that Payquicker DOES charge for funds transferred to INTERNATIONAL banks. The amount depends on the destination country but there is always a charge. Looking at the bright side of things, I don't think that Paypal even offers this kind of service.
Do you know for a FACT that PayQuicker charges you IF you've gotten the money through a MSC? That policy when it involves a MSC could be different than what's posted on their website since the MSCs have been paying the fees associated with US transfers. So why not international? So, there might not be a fee or there might, depending on the MSC. Don't know as I don't need international so I've never researched it. I could ask Julie or Tiffany of ACE what they do since they have Canadian shops.

PayPal does offer international transfers. I used to get some money from a Canadian MSC and they also charge to convert funds to American or if I had to pay an international eBay seller, they charged for me to send money to them. So PayPal offers and charges a fee for that service, too.
There definitely is a fee Angie because I sent funds to a European based bank from Payquicker myself. All the funds I had there were from ACE shops. No other MSC paid me thru Payquicker so far. But as I said I am not complaining. The fact that such a service exists is very convenient, practical and efficient.
Thanks. I honestly had no clue. That's good to know should anyone ask. I can see a European bank not being covered, though I still wonder about Canadian transers since they have regular Canadian shops. Thanks again for the update!

OK now I'm totally confused...what service are we talking about exactly? I have a PayPal Business Account. I get charged when somebody puts money in my account. I don't get charged anything to spend my money. When I transfer USD funds to my Canadian bank account, all that happens is the exchange rate + or -. There is no additional fee to transfer. But A mentioned a $4.95 fee for International transfers. I'm fairly sure Canada was included although we share a border. It doesn't matter anyway - I won't be doing many A shops. The thread is interesting reading, however.

The exhange rate includes a fee for exchanging the money but that's standard with any bank and PayPal, though they're not a bank.

I've put in an email to Julie and Tiffany asking about the fees and such for Canadian shops. They don't have anything outside of the US or Canada that I know of. I'll update this post when I hear back.

But now I'm confused. What's an A shop?
I read all the information given by ACE when they were switching over to PayQuicker but don't recall all the details. I have a small balance in my PayQuicker account from one shop I did for ACE a while ago. If I transfer the money to my bank will I be charged a monthly maintenance fee for not having funds in the account?
From what I read on the site there is never a monthly maintenance fee for payquicker. I am just uncertain how many kinds of pay options you can link to one bank account. I currently have paypal if I also link a payquicker account with the same bank account will that cause problems?
You can receive funds from as many sources as you like. I have lost track of the number of different companies that also provide DD into my account and the bank doesn't really care. I guess the only consideration would be some type of business account that might limit transaction and attach fees when you go over. Business accounts often do that.

Amusement Advantage offers PayPal, PayQuicker and checks as their payment options, so you get to choose which is your preferred method.

Yes Angie you are right. Every bank around the globe charges for International transfers. Payquicker operates like a bank in this regard.

Hi Spy,

I was only referring to International transfers that a Payquicker customer themselves have the option to request if they need. It has nothing to do with the source from where your funds originally came. In my case the source was ACE, but as I said the MSC which paid me thru Payquicker had nothing to do with my funds transfer to a European bank.

I received one fee from PQ with no fee and no problem, excatly the same as paypal. I did read when I signed up they charge for Int'l transactions.
I was not told about charging a fee after first transaction that I remember.

Thanks for that clarification. We have three Canadian editors on staff at ACE. I talked with them and they said they have U.S. accounts set up and their money is transferred from PayQuicker to that. So they don't incur the international fees. Since no one I know has a Canadian account set up, I'm not sure what the fees are. Tiffany did say that PayQuickers fees are the same and sometimes better than other banks. I do know we have a number of shops in Canada and the shoppers haven't had a problem with getting their payments.

Just like with other ACE shoppers, ACE pays for any Canadian or Puerto Rican shoppers (the only international locations we have) to transfer their money to their bank account for free. So there is no charge to get an ACE payment to a shopper's Canadian or Puerto Rican bank account. If someone chooses to have a check sent, that's a different fee rate and ACE doesn't reimburse for that. Just bank transfers.

If, for some reason, the transfer was done incorrectly, let ACE and/or Steve at PayQuicker know and they can help you out. That happened once and the fees were reimbursed that were charged to the shopper for the incorrect transfer option chosen.

I think I covered all the things I said I'd look into. If not, post and let me know. I'll see what I can find out. smiling smiley
