Medicine Discount Card from AboutFace

Did anyone get a medicine discount card from About Face?

I got two in the mail this week for me and my family.

All shoppers who have performed jobs for them in the last year should have gotten one. They sent out in early May telling us they were on the way.

Interesting. I've done work for them and have never heard of these cards. Can you tell by looking at them if they are USA exclusive? What and where are they good for?
I don't know if they are exclusively for the States, but they provide discounts on medication prescribed by your doctor.

I could definitely use one of those. Do they have to be used at a specific pharmacy?
No, but I'm guessing they are for U.S. based shoppers since we don't have universal healthcare and there are an alarming number of people without health coverage. I just left those ranks in January and it is costing me a lot more than my car paymentsad smiley

We don't have universal healthcare here either. We have free doctors and free hospital care but we still pay for glasses, hearing aids, dental, walking aids, drugs, nursing homes, home care and probably a whole bunch of more stuff I haven't run across.
I got mine in the mail not too long ago. It's a nice gesture but I would've preferred they ask if we want one. It's discounts of full prescription prices and the only scripts I get are either cheap co-pays or covered in full by no fault. They could've saved money by not sending me a set. I'm sure many others can't benefit from them either. That adds up.

Of course, now that I've written that, I'll have a script that won't be covered and I don't have a clue where I've put the cards. I wish I knew someone I could give them to. It'd be nice for someone to get some use out of them.
I'm like you AlwaysAngie. I have a co pay of $10 for meds so I can't use them either.
I once searched the Internet for free cards and took them to my pharmacist. I also have a kind of health care club that is cheap. I appreciate AboutFace's gesture very much. I went to my pharmacist with my prescriptions. I was told that the card would make me pay more. I suppose it is with co-pays. I don't understand anything whatsoever about how any of the above works. When I used to get discounted meds from pharmaceutical companies because my income was low, I understood how that came about. I understand coupons for my groceries. But I don't understand this.
I got them as well and although I only pay around $2-$3 per prescription now, it was a nice gesture, considering many people don't have any health insurance at all.
