So my favorite teller laughed at me at the bank today . .

We joke around quite a bit and he said not to spend my $3 check in one place . . . yes, I got a check from Best Mark for $3.

LOL. I got a refund check for $0.26 one time, and my teller thought it was hilarious. Asked me if I wanted cash back, and whether I wanted it in big bills or small bills.
So, I've wondered - isn't it a dead giveaway if the only checks you deposit are from a mystery shop company? I've been tempted to open an account so I could do some basic bank teller and drive thru shops, and use my BestMark checks... I figure the tellers are on to that?!
There is a chance that a teller is familiar with the name of the company that shops them. Best bet is to NOT deposit the checks from the company that shops them into the bank shopped. I handle mystery shop checks by depositing them through the ATM. That way I am not interacting with a teller who has been looking at me and then looking at checks, some of which say "Mystery Shopping Account". Duh.
I just don't shop the branch I do my business with.
