POLL: Scheduling - **RESULTS**!! (First Post Edited)

Howdy!!

Here are the Results of the Poll that I asked of y'all.

I left the original post at the bottom:

SHOPPER SURVEY
(Informal Forum & Survey Monkey Poll)
July 10 – July 12, 2012

SURVEY QUESTION: Of the list below - please indicate what your TOP THREE (3) negative interactions are regarding Mystery Shopper Scheduling.
- Respondents were not asked demographic (age, gender, # of years shopping) information.
- Respondents were given a selection of eight (8) responses and asked to select their top three (3).
- The total number of respondents was 33.
- Of those respondents who selected, “Waiting until the last minute to assign jobs” – they were asked an additional question: Would you please let me know what your ideal assigning "time-frame" is for the following scenario:

A job is posted on the 1st, and it is due on the 10th.
You apply for it on the 1st.
What would your ideal "You Got The Job" notification be:

Day 2 (leaving 7-8 days to complete the job)
Day 3 (leaving 6-7 days to complete the job)
Day 4 (leaving 5-6 days to complete the job)
"Other" - please indicate:

Of the ten (10) who responded, 100% were in agreement with being notified on Day 2, leaving 7-8 days to complete the job. However, nine (9) agreed that assignment of the job on Day 3 (48 hours after applying for a shop) was sufficient notification. The tenth respondent did not give an alternate response.

Below are the Results of the 33 who responded to the Poll:

- No Weekend Contact/Support. (13) 39.40%
- Not Assigning Jobs within 24 hours of requests. (24) 72.70%
- No "After 5 PM" support. (2) 6.10%
- No response via email from Scheduler. (19) 57.60%
- Scheduler is unprofessional. (2) 6.10%
- Scheduler shows too much favoritism. (1) 3.00%
- Waiting until the last minute to assign jobs. (24) 72.70%
- Too many emails sent for job postings. (14) 42.40%

***NOTE: Let me add from my own personal choices (I did not fill out the survey) I was very surprised that "No weekend Contact/Support" and "No 'After 5PM' Support" did not garner more votes.

Thanks everyone!!

~~~~~ ORIGINAL POST BELOW ~~~~~~~
Hi all,
I am conducting a Poll here on the forums for Shoppers. The results will be compiled for information on a project I am working on.
Please note the following:
1. No usernames/names will be used in the results I am presenting.
2. The POLL will close for responses at Midnight on Thursday, July 12th. (even if someone posts after that, I won't be using those results).
3. Please ONLY select from the list below - and ONLY select 3. No more, no less.
4. Please "write out" your Top 3 Selections from the list.
5. If you would like to comment - please ONLY comment BELOW your TOP 3 selections. Please keep any comment brief with 1-2 sentences.
6. If I decide to carry the project further, please let me know in your post if I may contact you via PM for additional questions. Please note that I will NOT use your name or username. I may need to know if a problem was resolved, how it was resolved, or something of that nature.
**If you do not wish to have your answers here on the Forums, I have also created the Identical Survey here: [www.surveymonkey.com]
Thank you for your help and support!
Personally, the assigning jobs thing is annoying. I don't always have a future schedule and would like to pick something up here or there. Like perhaps I am going to movies today which is 40 minutes from home a particular MSC has 3 jobs in the area available, they are due on the 11th I requested them last night and now at noon, I still haven't heard so I won't be picking them up. Now I have to go delete my app because I am not going to that area tomorrow and they waited too long.
@ Steve - excellent advice - I just created the *exact* poll above on Survey Monkey.
Scheduler is unprofessional (please DO comment under your Top 3 responses)
1) After sending email marked urgent at 3PM before performing shop no response from scheduler; so performed shop, Scheduler responded 8 hours, (email marked 11:30 pm) later after shop performed saying "don"t perform shop". My payback: will not do any shop with that scheduler's name on it.
2)Scheduler calls and asks you to do shop, shop done within time due, go to report survey, shop not on job page, removed. My payback: will not do any shop with that schedulers name on it.
3)Do shop with extensive narrative on it. Shop asks for Shopper's personal suggestions. Shopper writes positive suggestion that target should be made trainer of others, her presentation was that excellent. Scheduler/auditor one in the same, writes "dont offer your personaL opinions" and puts on job page for all to see. Shopper corresponds with scheduler/auditor and explains survey asked for personal opinion, please remove negative comments. Scheduler replies: "what do you care, you still got a 9". My payback: will not do any shop with that schedulers name on it. In fact have cut down on doing any shops for that company.
As for favoritism, I agree that this works in favor of highly reliable shoppers who provide excellent reports, so I hope that it favors me!
Of course you can contact me!
I applied for some shops on Friday with a Monday due date. I hadn't heard from them by 8pm on Sunday night so I went and assigned myself a bunch of CORI shops. I left Monday morning at 6.30am. When I got home at 5pm I checked my email and they had assigned me the shops. I was so miffed! They assigned the shops to me 7am on Monday. I had already left!
Comments...I keep getting emails from schedulers that are filled with grammar errors, have a snarky tone, and are cryptic to the point that I do not know what they are talking about.
Interested to know if you are going to post the results or send them off somewhere?
Thanks all for posting and replying to the survey - here & on SurveyMonkey thus far.
To answer Cynb's question - yes, I do hope to get the results up as soon as possible.
Right now, I'm loving the world on some Tylenol-3.. Dentist wants me to see the oral surgeon on Friday if my big, swollen mouth gets rid of the infection. He's dosing me up on some high-powered amoxicillin! Oh, and Tylenol-3! tongue sticking out smiley
OF COURSE I have a mega-route of jobs on Friday & Saturday - in a different city, WITH a golf-ball-sized woof of my mouf infection. I had been gurgling in peroxide and salt-water and hot-tea for days, but it got so bad this morning (of course again, with a bunch of jobs), I had to stop in this morning at a walk-in dentist.
Y'all don't know how bad I want to cancel all of my shops Friday and Saturday...
what I'm most surprised about is that only 33 shoppers responded !
I think there are a couple of thousand people if not more that check in on this site.
Me too!
I was definitely expecting (hoping) for a heck-of-a-lot more responses!
Even clicking on the Survey Monkey link - go there, the respondent would be completely anonymous, I wouldn't know which username did the survey.
So yup, that was a bummer. I AM happy that at least 33 posters replied!
