Hotel Shop Help

Hi all:

Need some advice. I am doing a hotel shop. I am supposed to request to speak with specific manager on duty that is listed on the sign. However, the front desk is saying he won't be back untill tomorrow night. Arrh.. Do you think speaking with the supervisor will be ok.

The best thing to do is try to contact your scheduler or the company you are working with IMMEDIATELY. If you don't hear back, I would recommend evaluating the Senior Supervisor on duty, and note in your report why you were unable to evaluate the specific individual.

My last hotel shop I brought my lap top, my digital camera, and my small scanner (for brochures and business cards) ...it was pretty cool to load the pictures right in the hotel room smiling smiley It made the rest of the report so much easiersmiling smiley

And to SunnyDays2, you are absolutely right!! I brought my laptop on the last several hotel evaluations, and it was a godsend. I not only got all the pictures uploaded, but I was also able to get the report done while my husband slept the following morning. Definitely MUCH easier than waiting till you get home. That, plus the fact if you accidentally forgot something, you are still at the hotel and rectify it immediately.

Ask for a manager, do the interaction, and report exactly why you could not do it with the target manager. They cannot fault you if the target is not there on a date that they agreed for the shop. Relax and do the interactions!
