Market Force and fast food

MF has fast food shops available for $5 and $5+ for food.
Recently they allowed more than one shop in the same meal period.
Now, they have changed it to one shop per meal period.
So, I leave my home, travel to the closest town for $5.
I don't think so!
There are not a lot of shops in my area and the highest one I have done was a face to face for $28.
The stupidist I have done was a pizza. Traveled 10 mi. for a free personal pan. Never again!
I'm getting kinda discouraged.

I'm surprised to hear that at any time MF allowed 2 meal shops during the same meal period. I've worked with them several years and never knew them to do that. I agree about a shop that pays $5 and allows $5 for food. If I wanted lunch with a quick easy report and $5 in my pocket, I might take the shop. If I didn't want the food or was trying to make money, I wouldn't take the shop. I certainly wouldn't make a long drive to do one of these shops. The same rationale applies as with the Quiznos shops which give you a flat payment that pays for lunch and only jingling change in your pocket. Take it for the meal or pass it by.

Most fast food shops don't pay much. $28 is a good-paying job. Most jobs pay $10-20.
The same time frame meal shops were at different locations. I would do one, drive 5 mi. and do a second one. That was great as it was in the town where I worked. They stopped that probably last month. And yes, I stopped those 'flat rate' shops also.
Here's a cut-and-paste from MF's quality standards:

"4 Per Day: To prevent errors in mixing up reports that are often caused by doing multiple shops on the same day, our policy is that you may shop no more than 4 shops per day. 2 fast food shops may NOT be done during the same meal period."

MF does not allow any shopper to perform 2 fast food shops during the same meal period, regardless of the location. If they allowed you to do so, it was an exception.
You could do a "Famous FF Shop" say at 11:15 and the next one at 2:45 and the next one at 5:15p.m. (I have done two in one day ~~ different time frames) but you cannot do two 11:15's for the same company in one day.

When the need arises Market Force will make exceptions. I once had 8 audits in one day. Their reasoning still cracks me up since as independent contractors we can choose to work for as many companies and do as many jobs a day as we like. They have often been added to a 10 or 12 shop day for me.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

They used to allow you to do the yellow one and then head on down the way to the red and blue one. Schedulers used to call me for this all the time. They have stopped that this summer.

I shopped for them at a fast food and didnt order a side as it was breakfast. The meal I ordered had the side included - still Market Farce didnt want to pay. I do not work these jobs because I am bored.
Did the guidelines instruct you to order a combo meal or to order items individually? If the guidelines are followed, Market Force pays. What was the specific issue?

You are an entrepreneur. This is a course in free enterprise. You must make business decisions that will exchange your value for the value offered. If you are on the losing end it is not business it is charity. You can take the loss off your income tax if you keep good records and the IRS does not tell you your effort is a hobby.

You can, of course, use your energy and effort to "think and grow rich" That sounds like a great name for a book. Go ask the FREE Public Library if they have such a book and read it. Your disappointment may change to excitement.
I agree their guidelines are silly - it doesn't stop me from taking another FF shop from a different MS company in the same time frame.

Those jobs, usually you end up paying more for your meal. I did some but they were with a bonus. I do not do them for the flat fee, since my meal, combo that they want is usually 6 to 7 dollars. Plus your driving time and gas, ended paying them to work, when I started and did not know any better.
The shops do not have a huge choice for breakfast. I chose the breakfast and not a side. None of the sides went with breakfast. I assumed because it was during breakfast I was to order breakfast. Mystery Shopping is a learning curve.

They have a specific list of items to choose from that you must order. What item did you order?
So what do you need to hear? PHD is quite the wordsmith, but occasionally he makes sense, lol!

I was hesitant to take my first FF shop with MF because I had heard a lot of stories about shoppers not getting paid. The times on my first shop were horrid and I figured it would get rejected. I got paid the 25$ plus food that I had agreed to. My second shop, I ordered a chicken meal and was told a price way too low, I told the kid it was wrong. He insisted it was right, I verified it was an adult meal and not a kid's meal. He agreed. He gave me a four piece pack instead of the one in the adult meal. It didn't have a toy so apparently it was an adult meal. Bottom line, I didn't have enough chicken. I thought for sure this is defitely getting rejected. However, I got paid my 25$ shop fee I had agreed to plus the food. I explained what had happened and I got paid. The company pays, you just have to follow the directions without fail. These aren't the type of shops you can fudge your way through with fluffy narrative.
LisaSTL...PHDs occassion to make sense wasn't in his reply to me.

jschitz..
MF has been very timely in payments to me
. I have had one shop rejected and it was my oversight.
oH HOW I wish these advertisement would not be in the way of the word reply. Anyway I agree about the fast food.
I ordered the breakfast burrito with coffee. I guess I could have ordered a burger and fries and they would have been happy!
It's been a while, but aren't you supposed to order a breakfast sandwich to give them the opportunity to upsell to a combo which would include the coffee and hashbrowns?

Market Force will only pay you if you follow the instructions exactly. Their ordering requirements are very clear and they list the food choices you may pick from and the time frames during which the items can be ordered. Page 2 of the guide gives very explicit ordering instructions. They would NOT have been happy if you ordered a burger and fries if you went before 10AM. Before 10AM you were required to order only breakfast. And if you went after 10AM they would not be happy if you ordered a breakfast entree. You must order one entree, one side, and one beverage with ALL meals. If it is before 10AM the entree must be from their list of acceptable breakfast items but you must still order a beverage and a side.

There is definitely a learning curve with mystery shopping. You must read the instructions very carefully and follow them exactly.
ICA boo boo and thank goodness someone caught it quickly!

No, he's talking about skates. Tots are on the menu. That's what I've always ordered with breakfast there.
Lisa..You may want to remove client name :> And I believe there is another hamburger place shopped in some areas...

And, yes....you need to order the tots on the menu. It's all about following the directions. I'm sure that was mentioned.
It's the late hour and the silliness on another thread. I watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics and it's way past my bedtimetongue sticking out smiley
