don't you just LOVE when this happens?

I just can't justify a $7 shop that I have to drive 10 miles each way to do and you HAVE to purchase something with that $7 and nothing in the store is under $5 including socks. I get a call and ask if they can bonus it at all (I would have accepted $12)....get a reply that they don't bonus. I thank her and just tell her I can't do it for $7. Next thing I notice is that they "deactived" me. Oh well, I have done numerous other shops for them and had good reports....if you don't want me, I don't want you!!

Deactivated you! Sheesh, that seems a little extreme!! I would totally contact them and ask them if that's what they meant to do, or if by chance it was an error, considering how awesome your past record is!

I definitely understand how you feel about shops that are like this. There are a few companies out there that have such a small pool (or absolutely _no_ pool) of resources as to be able to contribute to bonuses, so I understand that it can be rough for schedulers, sometimes, but at the same time, we really have to know how much our time is worth. They're not in business to take a loss and they have to realize it's the same for us. That's only fair.

I hope there's a good resolution to this issue!

Sending the best,

Jen
I did email.....got the "no answer"....it was deliberate, so just moving on. There are so many good companies out there I'm sure they won't miss me and vice versa.
nanabelle - Not to worry. A company that won't answer your inquiry is not going to leave a hole in your bucket. Shop on!

Always remember what a poster's mima said:

MSCs are like buses, don't chase them. They'll be another in ten minutes!
It sounds like total "retaliation" for refusing a shop. The scheduler got pissy and hit the "deact" button...
I love the swimming pool shops that reimburse you a whole $1. The only thing you can buy there for $1 is an individual bath gel, and the last time I did that shop they didn't even have those.
I've done lots of the swimming pool shops and have bought the $1.00 water noodles. I have a whole collection, but no pool! Bummer!
I used to cut up water noodles to use as padding to turn regular bags into laptop totes. I also used the noodle pieces to elevate one of my laptops to improve air circulation for the cooling fan. Ugly... but it worked great.
