I saw one of those a while back and the information was that you go into a retailer by appointment and their management goes with you as you browse the store and make comments on the appearance of displays, the merchandise offered, the cleanliness, the staff etc. Basically it is a "live report" I gathered. It was anticipated that it would take 45 minutes to an hour on site if I recall correctly. With the right store managers it could be a really nice experience but generally 'right' store managers already run well kept and fully stocked stores. I could see myself in a store that was grubby with a manager who was self-justifying with every comment made that was less than glowing.
