I usually say something like "Fifteen years experience as a mystery shopper in addition to many years' experience as a journalist/photographer for five local newspapers have enabled me to accurately make observations in an objective, accurate and straightforward manner while meeting all deadlines."

That sums up everything right there.

Her Serene Majesty, Cettie - Goat Queen of Zoltar, Sublime Empress of Her Caprine Domain
I usually start that one off, "I am an excellent mystery shopper because . . ." I then mention the time I have been doing this, the approximate number of shops performed, the number of 'flakes', the number of shop rejections and mention that I rarely have needed to reschedule shops and rarely get requests for clarification. I mention reliability, objectiveness and ability to follow instructions. Wrap up generally includes comfort with writing narrative and a smattering of my most frequent types of shops.

While my narrative for this question is a carefully written 'canned' product saved on my computer, it gets updated with current round numbers as appropriate and my 'most frequent types of shops' gets updated a bit to reflect experience with the types of clients the company has.
Certainly telling the company exactly what they want to know is what you should tell them.

If you have a background in this field you should definitely emphasize it. If not, a well written paragraph or two of why your experiences and what you would expect of a business can make just as good an impact. By now we all know that a reliable/dependable, able to follow instrcutions, accurate, well written, detailed analysis coupled with an unbiased an enthusiastic attitude will get you the better assignments.

Mystery shopping is not as simple as most think. Agreed?

Hey and if you can leap tall buildings in a single bound, well, you're my superhero!!!!
