I'm confused about schedulers who want me to sign up with other companies

Hi All,

Could someoone explain why there seems to be a lot of emails from one company giving out other company websites and asking me to join those companies and apply for their openings? What's the deal?

Kern is a scheduling company that does that...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Some of the companies that send out emails for other companies are scheduling businesses. Other companies are associated in some way with the companies they are sending out postings for.

A benefit to having ICs working with more than one MSC is it reinforces us as independent contractors and not employees. It can certainly help if their practices are called in to question by the IRS.

It also makes it more likely that you will accept a shop that is a bit farther away if you can bundle it with a shop or shops from other companies.

I think I can help with this question.
I am a scheduler, and this is what we have to do.

We have our site, with our database of shoppers, and we post all of our shops on our site, but we do not assign on our site, we schedule on our CLIENTS site.
There are a lot of scheduling companies that have more shoppers than their clients, so we really use out site as a recruiting tool.
