So, I asked no too long ago about Apollo Stratmar and very few of you knew about that company and perhaps that's indicative of their rather strange behaviour. I was always totally happy with them but I could tell something odd was happening behind the scenes. I won't say why bc since they did nothing untoward to me I don't really think it's appropriate. They have since gone out of business anyway.

At any rate I worked with a really nice lady whose name I won't give bc I don't want to associate her with that company bc I REALLY do not know what happened over there. Anyway, I worked with her on a project last summer and then she left the company.

Well, I got a call from her today and she is working with a new company and they just had a project open up in my area. She said she remembered me and told them to hold off scheduling my area until she called me bc she had a great person there. She has totally set me up with a great job! It's not secret shopping it's merchandising/auditing but I'm stoked for the job and the money. She just made me feel so awesome that she kept my info and is bringing me from one company to another! She told me I was one of her awesome people. It just really made my day.

Validation and appreciation. Good stuff! =D

When you do a great job as an independent contractor and your clients continue to use your services and encourage their friends and relatives to use your services (positive word of mouth) you understand the "secret of success".

I have used the entrepreneurial "secret" for over 50 years. I do not have to advertise as my reputation precedes me. The "secret" is, "You can have everything in life you want if you HELP enough other people get what they want.

I was using this common sense principle years before I became aware of Ziz Ziglar's famous principle. You must help people cheerfully and with integrity. No one wants to be abused or cheated. If you serve your customer your customer will serve you by telling others about you.

Be nice and be honest and you will be successful.

You know I think it is one of the major reasons I will never stop mystery shopping. Sometimes, out of the blue, when you least expect it, it's there to make you feel special. It's like manna dropping from heaven. It is unfortunate that the sad experiences, though much fewer than the good ones, seem to stay longer in my thoughts.

That is great! It feels good to have your efforts appreciated.

That is nice of her - a good pr for the company for sure. It is nice to be appreciated. Appreciate those who appreciate you.

Funny how we build up what we should be getting anyway, but I'm with you, always great to get a pat on the back!!

They are out of business? I liked working with them. I hadn't heard anything in a few months.
