Maybe you could stick around for a while. Read and join in on the conversation. If you find the forum doesn't fit with your beliefs, you can leave at any time. At this point, though, it seems you are deciding on something which may or may not have happened. All I see from itsasecret is, "He's gone" which really doesn't say anything about how it happened.

I have learned a lot in the very short time on this forum, so much so that I do not think I care to be a part of it, maybe I am jumping to conclusions and just found a few bad apples here today, but I will look further and see if it is a righteous place to be.

Ok Bay, I will check out other topics and make my assessment.

As you said, you have been here a short time and probably have not been able to read too much of what is posted. You also don't know much about the history of any and all involved. I'm curious as to why you would join and pick up on just this one thread?

BTW, the word troll is simply used to describe someone who only posts to stir up trouble. It doesn't exactly compare to calling others stupid or a @#$%&.

"Troll" is not name-calling. It's an internet term in common usage that refers to someone who posts in a forum for the purpose of creating controversy and stirring things up.

If you keep up like this, you will find that term attributed to you, for the posts you have just put up here serve no purpose to further the discussion of whether mystery shopping is worth it, but are only attacking and criticizing the people on this board who know what its purpose is.

All you have done is criticize the fact that biesen was rightfully removed. Which makes me suspect you may be biesen under a new ID. Are you?

What you may not realize (if you are not biesen) is that a lot of times the nasty posts that caused a poster to be reported and thus removed have themselves been removed or sanitized. So someone reading a thread after the banning may not realize the extent of the nastiness that caused it.

Trust that the moderators had good reason to remove biesen. *I* personally did not have him banned, I merely was the first to notice and/or mention the fact that he had been removed.

The only person who has "rights" here is the board owner, who made the rules for the forum. Some people have trouble following the rules. The board owner or his appointed moderators will then remove the offending poster and/or the offending posts.

I suppose you do not, don't let it bother you. We all make mistakes. I am really not interested in getting into the mud here , just trying to see if this mystery shopping is something I would like to continue with but I see I have run afoul of some 'law' or unwritten 'rules' of unintended consequences. This does seem rather cliquey and staid.

No, itsasecret didn't get him banned. We have moderators who ensure that posts are reasonable, not abusive, and follow the forum's guidelines. Posts that do not meet those requirements are edited by the moderators. Those posters who repeated violate the forum's guidelines are deactivated by the moderators.

We frequently don't all agree and simply disagreeing is certainly nowhere near enough to get a poster deactivated.

I am not defending anyone although maybe I should, there was a gooseman or something, you mentioned too as "troll" not very nice.

I believe that Beisen was interested in starting his own forum. Perhaps it would be more to your liking. After reading his posts, I have no doubt that Beisen will run a democratic forum free of this elitism that is so disturbing you.

Why did you come to this forum? Do you have something to contribute, or are you having a problem with a mystery shop, or a question for the many experienced shoppers here?

How about you drop the question of whether biesen was a troll or not and start working on proving that you aren't one? It is not productive to keep going back and forth on a subject that was decided and resolved by the moderators.

You see, it really doesn't matter if YOU think biesen didn't deserve to be removed. The mods did. It's their decision. They're like the Supreme Court -- no appeals allowed.
