Hotel shops (non-Coyle)

Does anyone know where to find hotel shops? About a year and a half ago I found a Sassie company that had a TON of hotel shops (they were all lower end hotels, not 4 or 5 star hotels), but I can't for the life of me remember who it was through. I've gone through just about every mystery shopping company I've signed up with and still can't find it!

Pretty sure that was Freeman and they are gone ... really SLOOOOOOWWWW pay and then ended up not paying.

Actually, Freeman sounds right...I knew they weren't super quick, but I did get paid for all three shops I did. Thanks for the info, Traveliz!
How do you get started with SQM? I have gone through the application process and haven't heard back from them at all.
Here's a quote from SQM's website - I thought your question sounded familiar:

"If there are positions available in the area that you work or reside, you will be contacted by our Shopper Resources staff. If there are no vacancies at the time of your application, your application will be kept on file for up to 18 months, and you may be contacted as assignments become available."

In other words, once you've submitted the information, 'don't call us; we'll call you'. I filled out my application almost a year ago and haven't heard anything from them since.
Is Freeman still taking like 6 months to pay? I always kind of avoided them because of this. I just don't have the finances to be sitting there waiting 6 months for hundreds of dollars in reimbursements (thousands if I did very many of these).

I do see hotels on A Closer Look sometimes.

I've shopped for Buckalew at an airport hotel which cost a small fortune - like literally $900 over the course of 2 overnights. it had a ton of observations and the reimbursement was, meh. If you're looking for a getaway but don't have any desire to leave the hotel, ever, then they're ok. I've done hotel shops though that were super easy and they didn't have a fee, but I was reimbursed for the stay. That is always nice if you are travelling and would have paid for a hotel anyway. I believe those were with ACL?

The other places.. not sure... haven't seen any in my particular area.
Isn't Freeman the one that is out of business?

I wish I had that problem! None of the hotels I'm seeing are even remotely close to places where I want to visit.
I am sooo looking for a hotel the middle of July (an easy hotel not a meal/bar heavy one) for some shops I am doing in the Chicago area and I am having no luck at all. Seems like they come in waves.

Ditto to what Liz said. I'm looking for the same the last week in July for Orlando, FL for some shops I have to do there.

Have PV-500 & willing to travel.

Anyone want to give me a heavy handed hint on where to look? I've tried all my usuals, but everything is out of state. I have to drag along 3 tiny lunatics to all overnight visits and I believe a 4 hour car ride would leave me incapable of paying attention to detail.
