Editors

Everyone makes comments about the editors, how do you know who the editor is? The comments seem to come back from generic editor type email addresses? I guess there is not a need to know, I was just curious how people did know.

Everyone comments so long as you do well and get paid, the grade doesn't matter. I try to tell myself that, but knowing I run everything trough grammar and spell checks, it is frustrating when they say, "lost 1 point for spelling."

Having said that, woo hoo..... I got my first 10 from intellishop. Based on what everyone has said, I never expected that.

I think the complaints have stemmed more, not from the feedback grade not being a 10, but from the inability or unwillingness on the part of the editor to identify WHY the grade was lowered and offer positive feedback. I personally don't really care what "grade" I get from the editor, I care about getting paid. That said, why offer feedback if the feedback is not clear and does not help the shopper understand how to improve?
markowi3, there are many people who don't spell well, and you can bet that some of them end up being editors. If an editor thinks the word is "potatos" and you correctly spelled it "potatoes" they will tell you that you misspelled something when THEY are the one who is wrong.

Nothing we can do about it. (And whoever get the report at the client may not spell any better so the editor never gets corrected.)
