GfK Testing

I don't do these shops [edited] because of the damn test. I simply find them odious and I HATE when I take them THREE times and still don't get 100%. Not good for my self-esteem!

When I do complete the test and fail, I'm not given the answers to what I may/may not have done correctly. That being said, talked with a delightful scheduler, Amy, who guided me through with the correct answers. This was an absolutely emergency shop on 5/31 with a big bonus. I had not requested this shop earlier in the month due to the testing.

What is YOUR feeling on this? I'm an 8-10 average scorer, a former English teacher who has excellent grammar skills, so my narratives usually get 'kudos'. Testing just annoys me.

My initial feeling is you need to edit your postgrinning smiley The client names are there and the MSC name is in the subject line.

Hi, Lainerz. If you find tests annoying because you're not nailing them 100%, you're probably not reading the questions carefully or you're not paying attention to the training. Education and grammar skills will not make up for lack of attention.
Feeling you have a superior grasp of the material may be the problem.

This is not exclusive to GFK, but writing test questions is a skill that few authors have achieved. I have taken a graduate course in how to compose tests (including the multiple choice incorrect answers) and I can tell you that few qualification tests really test what they want to know. It is true that many highly intelligent people overthink test questions. A large part of my last job was conducting I.Q. tests, and in review I would ask why they chose particular answers. Sometimes the test taker thinks of something that the author didn't. This is why pilot tests exist - but I have never seen them in M S testing.

For instance, I took a test and the M S question was meant to apply to all of their shops. It was my first time with them and I interpreted it to apply to only one client. My way was to answer NO, but their way it was YES. One cell test I took asked about specific requirements which were nowhere to be found in the shop directions. I went over them six times to find it. Finally, I just guessed and got it right.

If anyone of you MSC's need a test writer, I would love to redo many of them!
I really hate their TEST!!!! I can't pass them and they don't let you take it until you finally pass. My question is what the difference we going to check our guidelines and survey anyway ????
Hmm - ". . .feeling that you have a superior grasp of the material may be the problem..." you are correct, I stand fully accused. Great response - and, I STILL hate the damn tests!

I'm retired, I get to pick and choose what I like. I don't like these, however, when a scheduler calls me personally to do a specific shop, I almost always do. I appreciate the work the schedulers do - it's not THEIR fault, it's the salesperson's. My request: Have everyone in the Sales Dept. take the test!

Would someone please explain to me what is expected from GFK bank shop? There are some in my area that I am interested in and I have not done bank shops.
I, for one do not like to take a shop before I know what is expected
My concern is there are three parts. What are they?
Thanks
I usually minimize the guidelines and look up the questions that I am not sure of. Seems to work well for me.
But Gfk does go over the tests manually later and you generally pass it then. I had one I know I had no wrong answers and it gave me a 92. I said nothing and they went in and gave it a 100. I think whoever did the program screwed up one of the answers, so people were failing when they should not have been. At least they made it right before I even said anything. I like them.bstandup company.
I don't like those tests either. I took a quiz on a cell phone shop and failed it each time. I even had the guidelines pulled up when I took the darn thing! I swear one of the questions was a trick one.
At one point a few months back, the schedulers emailed the answers to shoppers and noted that the quiz never changes from month to month.
I generally Ace these tests, but still find them annoying--especially when it's late and you're in a hurry, and you first have to take a test before signing up for a shop.
