Monthly Reports For Free Cell Phone Assignments

Ok, I'm getting twisted in a knot here because this assignment is in limbo right now, and I can't get a response from the MSC and scheduling company involved. My schedule is jammed up, because I don't know when I can or will be able to complete it.

Each month, a report is supposed to be submitted after the shopper goes in to pay the bill in person for their plan. Well, these follow-ups have not been posted on the MSCs website. Problem is, the original instructions said that the bill payment and report were supposed to be done between the 1st and the 10th of each month. We're almost halfway through that window of opportunity.

Did anybody else sign up and get their new phone last month? Do you have any info about when the monthly reports are going to be accessible? Have you had any communication from the MSC?

This assignment isn't looking so good anymore. It's already screwed up two out-of-town long distance routes, and is looking like it might do the same for my vacay next month.

Why am I getting the feeling I am completely SOL? Sigh. This is a helluva situation. I am trapped here until this is resolved.

I purchased my plan on the 22nd of the month. I was under the impression the report was due within a 10 day window of when your monthly bill was due. Hmmm......I need to check into this. I planned to pay my bill around the 20th and submit that same day. Most people who pay by the month would not pay their bill two weeks before it was due.
I purchased my phone and plan on the 16th. According to the store, the bill needs to be paid by the 15th. But all the assignment paperwork said to pay the bill and submit the report each and every month by the 10th.

Well, that's just not possible. Neither the MSC or scheduling company has provided a shop link to do so, which the shop instructions stated would happen, and communication has been nil. I've sent several emails to the scheduler and called the MSC to leave a voice mail without getting a response.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only shopper hanging out there. I don't want to have to scramble at the last minute to get this down. And it really is playing havoc with my travel plans, because I have no freaking idea when this will be resolved, and/or if this is going to happen each month.

Let me know if you get any kind of response...PLEASE.

I also purchased on the 22nd. I'm curious as to the outcome of your results, shopgal, as both gigi and I will be in the same boat shortly.

Please keep this post updated.
If anyone hears anything, please post!

I am in the same boat as you. I panicked until I read your post. My bill is due on the 14th.

I did the last round of these shops, when it was a "feature" phone only and the project was 2-3 months long.

IIRC, it took them about 3-4 weeks after the initial shop to get the guidelines and assignments for the others, and I was able to work with the scheduler to do the shops when it worked out. Heck, my monthly bill wasn't even available until about 20 days after the purchase, and so I had to work around that.

I would message the scheduler and ask them about it.
Does anyone here feel comfortable naming the MSC since the client has not been named? Someone here may have contact info. for the company that is hard to find publicly.

Also, does the MSC use social media? If so, posting on their FB or Twitter feed may get a timely response.

Good luck. This is stressful and frustrating.

I saw those shops recently and they seemed tempting but I was afraid something like what the OP is discussing might happen.....I had a long term shop with my main MSC once and issues arose as their computer system did not recognize that I was on a long term shop and I kept getting emails that my shop was late. Luckily the scheduler at this MSC is really cool and everything worked out ok and I did get paid with no problems.....I just don't know if these MSC's are set up to do shops that don't end right then and there and keep dragging on. Here's wishing all of you a speedy resolution.....
I've emailed the head honcho at the scheduling company several times starting in mid-May. I called the company and left a message. I think I've been pretty damned reasonable about waiting for a protracted period of time for what should be a simple response.

But it's getting out of hand now. I can't book a flight out of town, because there is no telling when I am going to be able to make the in-person bill payment and subsequent report. I feel trapped. I can't just say to hell with it, because then I'm owing them for the phone and service.

The whole situation is jacked. I've been done out of earning from out-of-town long distance routes, costing me money. Now the flight costs are going up, costing me money.

I'm trying to make plans with other schedulers as well as with family and friends living out of town, but everything and everyone is on hold until this is resolved.

Needless to say, I am getting quite anxious and frustrated.

I just received a shop assignment from the company for service reimbursement. Hopefully, everyone else did too.
I did too. Seems all we will be doing making payment. Just to clarify, the due date is the day we will perform the shop, is that correct?

Nothing for me yet.

I received my assignment today too. I believe you have until the due date to do the assignment, I don't think it has to be done on that day. If you're bill is due before the due date then of course you are going to have to do the assignment before the due date.
I wonder what the hell is going on. Nothing yet. Called the MSC this morning, who forwarded my message to the scheduling company's voicemail. No response. The deadline on this is supposedly the 10th, which is Monday. Which means I have one more day to get this straightened out, since I'm sure no one at either office will be there on the weekend. Arrrgh!

Maybe it depends on what day you purchased the phone. I purchased mine on the 15th of May and my due date is the June 25th.
I did mine one day later, on the 16th. Maybe they are issuing the assignments by due dates. If so, maybe I will get mine tomorrow. Hopefully.

I received an email today stating that the assignment would be posted today.......so far.......crickets.........
I'm tired of worrying about this. I've done my part by emailing and calling, as well as checking in here to get whatever info I can. I'm going to do my best to put it out of my mind for the few hours left remaining in my evening.

Still no resolution. Have to pay my bill by the 15th. Hopefully I hear something soon.

I would not have adjusted my schedule, given up assignments and put off making travel plans because the report was not available. Pay your bill in the window you have to get it done and if the report isn't available for another month, fill it out then. It would have to be the most unreasonable MSC on the planet for them to refuse.

I'm getting to the point that's what I'm thinking of doing. I just didn't want to get into a jackpot over this, like having to repay them for my phone purchase or anything. But this is getting ridiculous.

If it is the MSC I'm thinking of, why don't you call them? You said you were referred to the scheduling company. The MSC pays the scheduling company and if the schedulers are not responding the MSC needs to know.

you are spending way too much time on this. The fact that they are
not communicating is an automatic red flag for me. Track their address
and send them a letter by mail with signature required so you know they got it.

And as soon as they respond, I would immediately terminate my relationship
with them and they can be out the expenses for the phone for failing to
communicate and not providing the required tools to complete the task
in a timely manner. An apology from them if they give one is not good enough.

All companies I work with are well aware I expect reasonable communication
and if they don't provide it, I won't do their shops and if there are any
expenses involved because of their failure to communicate I will bill them
for it and expect to be paid. I've done it before and would do it again...

I'll try calling the MSC again today and see what happens.

Meanwhile, do what you gotta do and stop holding up everything over one shop. Unless part of the shop is paying the bill late, you have to pay it on time because right now your name is on it and it is your credit that would be affected. I'm still confused as to why it would be interfering with so many routes. Is the cell phone store out of your immediate area?

Just called the MSC. They said all questions have to be referred to the scheduling company. Left yet another message with the scheduling company.

It seems that there is only one rep there coordinating the project, and she is the only one that is familiar with the details.

I no longer feel at this point that I need to have any commitment to this project. Too many things and people in my life are in limbo waiting for this to be resolved.

According to the original guidelines, the in-person bill pay and report were supposed to be completed between the1st and 10th each month. Well, here we are and today is the 10th.

According to the client, I have until June 15th to pay my bill because I made the purchase of phone/plan on the 16th of May.

Because the assignment requires in-person payment, that's what's snagging things up for me. I'm trying to jet out of town for several weeks. But I don't know when I can leave in July or when I have to be back for the August visit.

It's a mess.

You should just dump the project and be done with it. If you are
out of town when they decide to call you, that's their problem,
not yours.

You've made every reasonable effort to contact them and the msc
is deflecting this and not willing to help when it is their project in the end.

At this point I would look at it say if I continue to pursue this and change
my plans, I have no right to complain and can only blame myself.
