It didn't sound nice. Riya hasn't answered you and I hadn't heard of her before. Your post said nothing about knowing her. Even if what you are doing isn't offensive to her, others found it distasteful, and someone else from her background might get immensely hurt by your comments. It's best not to tease at all, and especially when others who might not understand would be aware of it. A very old book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, advises to never tease, because you never know when it might go wrong.

I am probably quite a bit older than you, so consider this advice from someone who has experience, and yours and Riya's best interests in mind. Don't tell me to butt out, too, but consider how many people responded negatively to your comment to Riya, and please take advice.

Gee Colton, your comments might have been an inside joke between Riya and you - so why not keep them in an email only you two see?

You came across an antagonistic and small-minded to the rest of us.

Are you really a mystery shopper? If your posts here are examples of your best work, then I can not imagine you work much in the mystery shopping field.

This forum is representative of all of us - the good, bad and ugly. When Colton wouldn't tone down his remarks, after several requests, he went bye-bye. Works for me.

Which all is absurd because the OP has not revisited the forum since 9/2006. Duh. So Colton showed ignorance both by his/her comments and failure to note that the OP was long gone.
