Diesel allowed on gas shops?

I'm scheduled to do two Chevron/Texaco "Customer First" shops Monday where we get $5 worth of gas, $1 inside, and a $6 fee.

I can either do those shops in connection with a route of bank shops in the immediate area of the gas stations and take my car, but there's something I need to pick up in the far side of the valley that I will need to take my diesel truck. I'd like to do those shops (and three others like it near where I need to make the pickup) with the truck if it's okay to get diesel. The instructions don't say "no diesel" but refer to making a "gasoline" purchase.

I have emailed the MSC but not gotten an answer back yet. I'd like to plan the rest of my route but it makes a huge difference whether I'll be in the car or the truck.

Anyone know if they allow diesel for the purchase at the pump?

If I have to get gasoline I'll have to make two trips to the valley in the same week but I'd rather just do the one with the truck next week and do the bank shops later in the month.

I'm afraid they won't answer me until it's too late to book the rest of the shops I want to get so I thought I'd ask here in case someone has done this recently and knows the answer. Thanks for any insight anyone can offer.

I've seen some that say no diesel, but it depends. Hopefully your scheduler will get back in touch with you soon.

Was trying to do it the easy way, and the way that gets me the response in writing in case it's questioned later.

I've seen some that say no diesel too, but this one doesn't say that. But I don't want to assume anything.

Have you considered taking your diesel truck but buying gas by filling a red plastic gas can? You can use if later for your car. If anyone at the station asks (they probably won't), you can say it's for your lawnmower.
I thought of that, but I'd rather have the diesel since I have to drive the truck 300 miles. And then I'd have to haul two gas cans around with me all day in 118 degree heat in the bed of the truck. Probably not the best thing to do.

I'm going to need 20 gallons of diesel for the trip. If I could get a gallon and a half at each of five stations that would be more than a third of it. The shop fees would pretty much pay for the rest.

Talked to the scheduler today and no, diesel is not allowed on the current shops, although there have been diesel shops in the past and may be in the future.

I'm scheduled for some of these shops in the near future, and have been running my gas tank close to empty this week so as to make sure I have room for enough gas to get my full $5 worth for each shop. Using a gas can would alleviate the need to constantly sit on "E", but I wasn't sure whether or not that would be acceptable. Has anyone actually used a gas can for this particular shop? Is anyone aware of any guidelines that would prohibit doing so?
