I Fell In Love on a Shop Today

I had a shop this morning on my way to Florida for a 2007 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. I had forgotten how much fun a stick shift can be, especially in a ragtop. God, I'm in love. Just need to win the Powerball!

For me it was a limited edition Boxster convertible in the most perfect shade of orange to match my nails.

I have fallen in love several times during shops. (Yes, I'm fickle.) They were never cars, though. Some of my loves were The Big Green Egg, the beds at The Clift Hotel, the Petaluma duck with balsamic vinegar reduction sauce at Il Fornaio, the garlic noodles at PF Chang's years ago (the current dish pales in comparison), and the tawny port I had once at a Roy's Restaurant (wish I remembered the vintage).
I fell in love with a necklace at a "high end watch store". My husband went back and bought it for me!
Talk about a business loss.

LOL! No, but our original wedding bands were made to look like chain links!
(It was the 70s, what can I say?)

I recently fell in love with a pair of sunglasses on a shop.
I'm buying them next week.
Last year, a pair of True Religion Jeans at the store. Thay fit like a glove. I kept the jeans and then found out that I could have purchased them at Nordstrom for $30 less on sale. Inskydiamonds: also have my eye on a pair of Maui Jims from a previous assignment. I am trying to figure out how to purchase these at a lower price.

I, too, have fallen in love with a pair of sunglasses on a recent shop. Problem is they retailed at over $300.....going to have to wait for awhile I'm afraid.
The pair I love retail at about $150. I don't usually spend money on myself, but the sales technique and the glasses themselves convinced me. Had part of the shop not been turning the purchase down at the register, I would have bought them then.

I "fell in like" with sunglasses at the Grove (pricey), then went upstairs at Nordstrom's young department, and whala,
same design, fit and look great for $12.00, just not the same brand, I get so many compliments, I should have bought 2......sssh, don't tell!

Live consciously....
I fell in love with a soft shell crab, sauteed in garlic butter. Ah, summer love, so fleeting!
I fell in love with a Chanel coat at Neiman Marcus...trouble being it cost $4500...but, this was true love!!!!

Oh Boy! I fell in love with an Elie Tahari dress. I had to leave it behind when reality met my checkbook sad smiley
Some days it's tough to leave the clothes on the rack!
Just about every time I do a new car shop, I fall in love and comethisclose to signing on the dotted line. I've admitted these love affairs to my husband and so now, after a new car shop, he always takes a quick peek in the garage.

Call me old, but if you can't buy a Potsche or Boxster covertible, I swear a Hyundai gives you the most for your money!

(heart)

PS
Furniture shops are almost equally difficult to leave empty handed...but a lot less expensive.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
BTW still learning, a Boxster is a Porschewinking smiley

I am in love with the Cayenne myself...had my husband do a shop and he's obsessed with the 911 now. Too bad our bank account can't support either one, probably ever....
