There are really three separate questions:
1. Will you have to pay the postage?
2. Should you pay the postage?
3. If yes to either #1 or #2, how much should you pay or will have to pay?
IMO:
1. You don't
have to since the company provided you with a prepaid envelope.
2. You should, since you canceled and it was not the company's fault.
3. You should offer to pay
at least the returning postage and you should ship the equipment back ASAP, with an apology. You may be legally responsible to pay more.
