Do schedulers assign shops based on postal/zip code?

Just out of curiosity, anyone have any idea if MSC assigns shops based on postal code?

I asked a MSC if they could accommodate a route. Of course I received the furthest ones both from my actual address and the mailing address (different cities). I set the postal code for my accounts for a different address and some MSC pay by cheque. The mail carrier for my actual address has a habit of putting mail in the wrong box so I use a more secure address for anything payment related.

I am wondering the shops I requested got assigned to a shopper who has their address listed closer to the location.
