Hotel Tipping

I am doing my first big hotel shop this weekend. I can tip cash on the following items:

Doorman/Valet In:
Doorman/Valet Out:
Bellman In:
Bellman Out:
Housekeeping:
Delivery Items: (I don't have to order room service, so I don't think I will have this one)
Other: (not even sure what this would be?)

I have only used valet once before and I have never used a bellman. What is customary tipping for all of these services? I just want to make sure I blend in and give the right amount. The cheapest room is $149 a night, if that helps. Thanks so much!

Many MSCs have specific tipping policies. From the description you gave, I'm going to assume it's Coyle.

For them I would generally tip the doorman $1 per bag for the arrival and handoff to the bellman. $2 per bag for the bellman both in & out, and $2 for the valet upon departure. $3 for housekeeping.
Great, thank you for your help. Yes, it is for Coyle. I did not see any exact information for tipping, and just wanted to make sure what I thought was the industry standard was correct. Thanks!
They used to have a tipping guide in their resource center and in the instruction PDF they send out, but that may have changed...

You should not have a problem if you use the above example.
Here's a good reference guide.

I used to travel 15-20 times a year for business and I'd always tip $2 suitcase for the bellman for arrival and departure. As long as it's reimbursable, I'd tip on the high side - especially this time of year!
