Scheduler A or B?

I just recently started getting calls from two different schedulers (same MSC).
I knew nothing about these folks except what I read here but both initial calls offered shops at three times or more at what I had been doing them for. GREAT!
Both also mentioned that I picked up most of my shops on the site and suggested that I call them before doing that.
I have been.
Scheduler A isn't good about returning phone calls. Scheduler B is fantastic and we seem to have a connection.
Today Scheduler A called me about a shop with a nice bonus.

Here's the question:

I like scheduler B much better.
Is it ok to decline the shop with scheduler A and call scheduler B for it?

Pros and/or cons?

Will I lose "points" with my preferred scheduler if I take it from A? Will I cement my relationship if I call B and ask her to give it to me? Are they room mates?

Bottom line. How does it affect me?

Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, etc...

Take it from the scheduler who offered it. They may be working together on the account and getting it scheduled will benefit both. While scheduler A may not be your favorite, going behind her back will guarantee you will never be her favorite and could adversely impact your relationship with scheduler B. If you ever want to be proactive with a shop it would then be okay to call scheduler B first.

Thanks Lisa.

I kind of figured that, it's what felt to be the right thing anyway. I appreciate your confirming.

So much to learn about this stuff.

I feel like every day is a nickel and a dime but they really add up and I LIKE the math.
I agree with Lisa.

Scheduler B didn't call and offer you the $$. Did s/he know that A called and offered? Did B
offer the bonus to another shopper? You may never know. All schedulers and shoppers have favorites, but it is not good business to put all one's eggs in one basket.

Good deal that you have two schedulers with one MSC, working the same account. That's kind of unusual. But, seems like it's working to your advantagesmiling smiley
No question. I would take it from the scheduler who offered it. You don't know how things work between them.
If you call the other scheduler, you run the risk of generating confusion and the offered bonus getting lost. Follow the money.

Thanks for the confirmations!!

Meanwhile B filled my weekend. I'm on my way to make about a hundred bucks, get about 45 dollars in free groceries and have a free lunch and be back home in time for football.

Wow, I'd say!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
What about when they call from the foreign call center. Is it ok to decline the shop and call my favorite scheduler? What about not answering the phone when they call and calling my scheduler?
Personally, I would take the job whenever someone calls and has bonus money to back them up! If I want something and no one has called, then I call my scheduler.
I agree that it's nice to have strong relationships in MSing, but not always easy to achieve. Playing favorites is tough, particulary in traditional MSing, where shopper competition is much greater. Schedulers come and go. Shoppers come and go. Schedulers have to build their shopper base, assign shops to unknown newcomers, and to shoppers who may submit sub-par work. Shoppers have to work with all schedulers, the good, bad and ugly.

holliscary, what do you hope to gain by ignoring an offer from a scheduler who is not your favorite, and then calling your favorite - who did not call you?
Mert, I get the idea that Holliscary primarily doesn't like dealing with the foreign call center.

To Holliscary, for the latter option (not answering the phone when the foreign call center calls, then calling your favorite scheduler)... if you didn't answer the phone, how would you know what the foreign call center person wants when you call your favorite scheduler? I mean, I *know* the foreign caller can leave a message, but usually when they leave one for me they just say "We have a shop in your area!... " To which I always think, "No kidding, I *can* see the job board!" and always wish they'd been more specific. The couple of specific messages I've gotten seemed to be from non-foreign callers.

As for your first option, if you're gonna bother to answer the call anyway, and you like the bonus, why not just take it from whoever called & offered it?

There is one well known MSC that offers the highest bonuses through the foreign call center. I always take the call, and in some cases, am offered multiple shops at double the normal shop fees. No one will Force you to accept a job just because you take a call from someone outside of your Market.

Trashman' my limited experience is that the foreign call center does offer bonuses that are double or higher but still not as high as what I've been consistently getting (only recently) from Scheduler A (or B..I forgot which one was the one I liked).
However I will heed your seasoned advice and answer the calls so if nothing else I can get a better picture for myself.

Thanks
It is always amusing to hear the callers with such heavy accents, and then give their highly American-sounding names! That being said though, I can always understand them, and they are always pleasant and courteous.
Overly pleasant. I think if I said, "go to hell" they'd reply (singsong), "oh thank you for that and the reason I am calling is ..."
