Theater Checks- how to questions??

If anyone can give me a little insight into theater checks ASAP, I would so appreciate it! I have my first check this weekend and was curious since I cant seem to find this info on any of my assignment info.

Do I need to pay to get in? This is an overt shop and I have a form for the mgr to sign.
When it says "immediately following your check..." does that mean just the credits, or the whole movie?
Can you stay for the whole movie?
Any other rules I need to know (other than don't bring anyone with you...)

Please and thank you in advance!

The MSC is affiliated with MF. I just need to note what trailers are played and the crowd reaction. I found this humorous, because I doubt anyone will be there, but we'll see. Its a good movie, "The Ugly Truth" I wouldnt mind staying and watching it smiling smiley
I want to see that movie... Move here and we can go together! :-)

You show up, go to the concierge or ticket area, show them the letter, explain what you are there for, and ask for the manager. Then you do all that again. :-) You go to the theatre roughly 20 minutes ahead of time, as if I recall right, you need to get a count of heads or seats, but I could have that mixed up with another one I have done for them. You write down the trailers they play, and you note if the audience laughed, snored, etc. Results MUST be input before midnight.

Some managers will let you stay free; others won't.

Oh okay, thanks. I did the check, and to be on the safe side I left after 10 min into the movie (it does look REALLY good!) I called in my results and presto! Done! I would do it again, especially in my area.
You will hear a lot of negative experiences with this firm on every forum. I can say that it has not at all been my personal experience, but I also know what shops I am willing to perform for the rates they pay, and the schedulers for my area seem to not be as cold and rude as they are for some other areas of the country. With these shops, there is no provision for being late for ANY reason, good or bad, so make sure you can do them. Also, make sure you have an understanding of the time required for their shops. Some take a long time and do not pay well. Trailer checks are easy easy easy. Haven't seen those in a while. I love them: quick, easy and pay fairly for the time IF you are close to the theatre you at which you are doing *and* it is only one movie one showing. This firm is famous for deactivating people for cause or NOT. Their parent also does not have warm fuzzies with shoppers.

I used to watch the movies free and it was well worth it to me. Then I got a new manager and they said I had to pay if I stayed. I talked to the district manager and they said it was a new policy. I decided it was not worth it then.

Maybe you'll get lucky and they will let you stay. Good luck.
