What does it mean to be deactivated?

Thanks for sharing! I better go check out my data and see if I am listed or not! I know I had a company deactivate me, but, I asked them to do so. I did not know they specialized in one area and I don't do that kind of shop. So we agreed kindly that I wasn't a match for the company until I change/ if I change my mind.

All I can say is "wow" because this never occurred to me as I saved past shop narratives for this very purpose. Thank you, Lisa, for saving me from myself!

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Oooh. Didn't think about that. Wonder if I can do a car shop that's not a car shop this week while I have the borrowed camera. Good idea? Bad?

If it is not an actual shop there is no conflict. In your case the issue will be using the borrowed camera. You can ask permission to create a sample at a manufacturer who is not a client and it will also serve as a good practice prior to the real thing.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

That's what I was thinking. I *am* doing other car shops those days, but they're actual shops so I wouldn't be able to do one of those, and I don't really think I have time to make any other stops. Plus come to think of it I might be in a 2 party state then. Oooooooooooops.

UPDATE: It would appear this was a misunderstanding on my part. Intellishop displays a message on their site after logging in indicating that an account will not be activated until tests are completed. Because this message looks like the one that I see so often about saving work every 30 minutes to keep from loosing work when submitting reports I thought it was another meaningless reminder. (I know to save my work.) And as for GFK, I've received an email asking if I'd be interested in doing some work for them. So I guess I'm just not used to SASSIE's quirks.

I thought deactivation was the independent contractor equivalent to an employee being terminated, but apparently this isn't necessarily the case.
I could just be because you haven't done any work for them. Many will not keep you active after 6 months. Just re-activate if you intend to actually do some work for them.

It often is the case, but not always.
